RIN’s POV

After a lot of photoshoots here and there, and guestings, here I am, finally back on track for school. But who would think after coming back great news is ahead of me.

“Please sit here Rin-ssi.” Miss Ahn told me.

Today I was excused for 1st period since Miss Ahn called for me in the office.

“I believe that you’re a bright student and that you’ll never fail on doing your responsibilities as a student even if you’re having a tough time with your career, but I guess I have to give you a warning……… you’ve failed in Math’s  mock exam.” She said.

To think that I’ve never failed in any subject all my life and that I’ve always been on top, this made my heart sunk.

“Is it that bad?” I said and she nodded.

“You received a D- in that exam. All your other exams were all A+ or B++ and it was the only exam you failed… and I guess, if you don’t improve for the final exams that you have to repeat Math I this summer break.”

I went out of the office looking so gloomy. What should I do about having a D-… to think that’s 2 steps to an F scares me… I mean, I’m not really good in Math but, just thinking about it makes me wanna go die. Call me a nerd but I never failed and this is just too much.

Sigh.

“How to heal this heart…” I mumbled.

“Hey.” I heard that familiar voice call me.

“What?” I asked him.

“Mom called and she wants me to tell you that your mom prepared a family dinner in your house.” Marcus said.

“Jinjja? Why of all times…” I sighed.

“Why? You have any problem?” He asked.

“Not really… it’s just that…. It’s just that…” And I became teary-eyed.

“just that?”

“I got a D- in our Math Mock exam.” And I started to wail in front of him while covering my faces and I heard him laugh so hard.

“Yah!” I scolded him.

“S-Sorry… it’s just that your problem is so trivial and you’re already crying.” And he continued to laugh.

“Ugh… to think I’ll hear that from you smarty pants.” I said and then strode off.

“Hey! I was just kidding…! Just kidding!” He shouted from afar but I just left him.

In the afternoon, we went home together in his car.

“Don’t you dare tell anyone that I failed math. Not even my parents! They’ll totally kill me!” I warned him and he just smiled.

We reached  home and our parents waited for us in the porch.

“Annyeonghaseyo.” We both greeted and then bowed.

“Hmmm… these kids seems to have been getting along well…” My mom teased.

“Looks like it!” Mrs. Cho added.

What.

We went inside and got dinner prepared for us in the dining hall by the servers.

“So, tell me, how are the two of you progressing?” My mom  pressed. She’s just too stubborn.

Don’t ask. I’m just getting all flustered!
