JAESHIN’s POV

I am very sure something’s going on with my sister and that guy. Who was he anyway? I think I never saw him at all in the past. Not in any days.

“Is he your boyfriend???” I blurted out of the blue since it kept bugging me whether my little princess is now a grown up already to even have a boyfriend in her first week after a long time in Korea.

As I asked her that, she looked at me wide-eyed, like as if she didn’t understand even a single bit of my question.

“B-boyfriend?!” She stuttered and then blinked a couple of times. “DEFINITELY NOT, OPPA!” She shook her head a lot of times to show me how sincere her answer was. But then I saw her blush.  And that was a hint.

Now she can lie to me.

“Is that for real?” I asked her to make sure.

She nodded. “Not even in my wildest dreams would I ever want for him to be my first boyfriend… that’s just too crazy.” She shook her head once more and then sighed.

I chuckled at her answer and actions. She is just too cute.

Right.

Maybe she isn’t lying to me.

“But, who is Marcus anyway?” I asked trying to dig more to it and my sister flinched at the sound of his name.

“Don’t you have any idea who he is?” She asked and then I just shook my head.

“Mom and dad didn’t tell you?”

“What did they not tell me?” I asked while cocking an eyebrow at her.

I saw her bit her lip for a while. It seemed that she didn’t know how will she ever try to tell me who that guy really is.

“Have you seen the kid in the neighboring house across ours?” I shook my head. To be honest, even if that family is a good friend of ours, I didn’t had the time to check out their family.

“Well he’s their kid and…. Mom & dad and his parents had set us up to marry.” Rin said and then she sighed.

I saw the sadness in her eyes.

“IS THAT FOR REAL?!” I exclaimed. Not in my wildest dreams would I want my little to sister to marry a guy she barely knew at the age of 19! Are our parents stupid to not think that?!

She nodded at my question.

“They told me it was because it was a promise between our late grandfathers that they want us to marry… but both of us disagreed to that. But his mom begged me to try to know him…” She explained and looked down.

“If they’re trying to sell you off for business purposes, they should have just done that to me.” I told her as I scooped her in my arms and hugged her.

“Oppa… it’s not like that. It was a mutual agreement between our grandfathers. They’ve waited for so long for this moment, I guess even until now after their deaths. They would not marry me off to a complete stranger so I guess I will be thinking about it. Besides, this time I want to do something for our family.” And I just hugged her tighter,

I know it’s so hard for her to be stuck in a situation where she has no choice but to follow. My sister has been doing everything she wants in her own will. I know how she wanted to be free. And my parents being in control… I just can’t believe she’s considering their decision despite knowing it will just hurt her.

RIN’s POV

My brother dragged me in front of a room that says “SHIVA” on the placard stuck just at eye level.
