Y/n's POV
I pay for Mark's food and we exit the Chinese place.
"Need a ride back to campus?" He asks awkwardly.
"Sure!" I reply.
"If I don't except I might run into a large crowd again."
We both laugh before entering the car.
I am so happy that Nathan was there today. I think to myself.
I can't tell Mark about me being blind or he might leave me like tons of other people have after finding out.
The beginning of the ride is quiet and awkward until Mark breaks the ice.
"So what are you studying to be?" He asks.
"I don't really know," I tell him honestly. "Right now I'm just interested in my class on human behavior and mind."
"Oh,"
The car goes silent again until it comes to a complete stop.
I'm guessing we're here.
"Before you go I would like to say it's been to meet you."
I nod in return.
"It's been really nice to meet you too Mark."
I open the door and start to get out when I turn back toward Mark.
"Maybe we'll meet again Mark." I say smiling.
"Maybe." He agrees and I exit the car.
He begins to drive away and I wave as he does so.
I go to grab my phone out of my pocket only to realize that I never picked it up off the ground when I dropped it.
"Great," I mumble to myself.
"Now I have to buy a new one."
I sigh and start to walk to my dorm knowing that Kadence and Ethan's classes should be ending soon.
I begin to hum to myself as I walk to my dorm room.
Once I reach my door I open it up and enter just in time to dodge all of the students that are now running to their next classes or their dorms.
Just in time.
"Knock knock." My door opens and I hear two pairs of footsteps enter my room.
"What's up losers?" I ask as I take all of the food out of the bag.
"How come you didn't answer your phone?" Ethan asks as he walks over and takes a seat next to me on my bed.
"I lost it." I tell him and grab my food which has a tiny piece of tinfoil tapped on it so I can tell it's mine.
"How did you manage that?" Kadence asks as she pokes me with her fork.
"I started to have a panic attack so I went to pull my phone out of my pocket and dropped it while I was in a big crowd."
They both go silent.
"What?" I ask.
"I told you to call me if something happened." Ethan begins to scold me.
"Why do you think I pulled my phone out of my pocket?"
I feel a hand on my shoulder.
"Well are you at least okay?" Kadence asks.
"Yeah," I tell her.
"Some guy saw me freaking out and came over to help me."
She takes her hand off of my shoulder.
"That's good."
"Yeah," Ethan agrees.
"It's nice to know that not everyone is a complete jerk."
The sound of a phone ringing then fills the room.
"Um," Ethan sounds a little nervous.
"I have to take this." He tells us as he leaves the area we of the room we're in.
"That's odd." Kadence says in a suspicious tone.
"Ethan never leaves the room when on the phone with someone."
I shrug my shoulders.
"Maybe it's important."
I hear Ethan walk back over to us.
"I have to uh, go." I frown.
"Really?" I ask.
"Yes," He says.
"But don't worry, I'll be back in a couple of hours."
I frown as I stand up and give him a hug.
"Promise?" I ask.
He chuckles.
"I promise."
Letting go he walks over to the door and leaves.
"Does Ethan have a job we don't know about?" Kadence asks.
"Maybe." I reply and start to eat my food.
"I guess we'll have to ask when he gets back."
I nod.
"That we will."
Ethan's POV
"I can't believe it." I say to myself as I enter my car.
"Mark needs me to be in a video." I sigh, but it's not a bad sigh.
"I'm so glad no one at our college seems to know who I am."
I start my car and pull off campus.
Today we're doing a try not to laugh I guess.
I make a right and head toward his house when Y/n comes to mind.
I have to make him promise me that this won't last more than an hour and a half.
I can still feel the sorrow from the hug she gave me.
She really didn't want me to go.
"Sorry Y/n,"
I make a left turn.
"But living this life is hard. And sometimes you have to take a detour from the normal and cross over to the weird side of things."
I chuckle to myself.
I can't even imagine if Y/n wasn't blind and she watched Mark and other people on YouTube.
"She probably would have never talked to me or even fangirl when we met."
I think of my old college.
So many people knew who I was there and I just couldn't take it.
I didn't mind the fans, but then there was the haters.
Mark and everyone else don't even know I'm still in college.
I laugh to myself as I pull into Mark's driveway.
"This is going to be something." I say as I exit my car and walk up to the door.
Hopefully I don't get killed.
