Twenty-Nine | Burning Tea

Y/n's POV

Ethan and I make a quick dash to Kad's dorm, knowing she probably went there.
It doesn't take us long to get inside the building and knock on her and her roommates room.
"What do y- Ethan!" She cuts herself off as she notices Ethan standing there.
"Baby! I knew you would come and cheer me up!"

Cheer her up?
What happened?

I hear the sound of him pushing her away. She probably tired to kiss him again.
"Cheer you up?" He asks.
"Yeah, your stupid friend ruined my relationship!" She pouts.
"She came running in and then told my boyfriend that I was cheating on him."
I roll my eyes.
"Which I wasn't!" She tried to defend herself and fails miserably.
"So Kadence is here?" He asks.
"Sure, but how about you ditch the blind chick and come hang with me." She says in a 'seductive' tone of voice.
The next thing I know Ethan grabs hold of my arm and drags me into the dorm, probably pushing the girl out of the way.
"You can't just walk in here!" She shouts at us.
We just ignore her as I let Ethan drag me to the dace loving girls room, my cane dragging behind me.
He opens the door and sighs.
"She's not here."
I groan.
"The windows open so she must have left through there. To where though?" He asks himself.
I exit Kad's room and then the whole dorm room.
"Hey!" The girls high pitched voice hurts my ears as I leave the building.
It doesn't take long for me to hear Ethan coming up behind me.
"Where are you going?" He asks.
"To the Chinese Place."

I push open the glass doors of the restaurant and enter.
I await to hear some sort of comment from Nathan because this is his shift, but nothing.
"Weird." I whisper to myself.
"Let's go ask the person at the counter." Ethan suggest.
I nod and we walk up to said counter where someone stands.
"What would you like?" A feminine like voice asks.
"Did you see a girl with brown hair and brown eyes walks in here looking angry?" Ethan asks.
The person chuckles.
"I see many girls with that description walk in here every day." They tell us.
"But I did see a girl like that with Nathan."

Where's her and Nathan now?

"Where is Nathan now?"
Ethan reads my mind.
"Left early with her." They say.
"Probably taking her back to his place."
I hear a smile curl onto her face as she speaks.
"Where does he live?" I ask.
"Now now," The woman says.
"I can't give you that information."
I open my mouth to say some snarky response back, but Ethan says something else before I can.
"We know him. You can even ask GJ over there."
The woman calls GJ over.
"Does Nathan know these people?" She asks.
"Who? Y/n and Ethan? Yeah."
I smile.
"Alright."
I hear the scribbling of a pencil on paper and I assume she hands it to Ethan.
"That's his address."
We thank her before dashing out the door.

What is she doing at his house anyways?

Kadence's POV
(A few hours earlier.)

When we leave the small Chinese place, we get into Nathan's nice looking black car and head to his home.
We don't talk to one another the whole ride to wherever he lives.
At least not until I noticed the neighborhood.
"Woah." I look in awe at all the nice houses.
"What?" He asks, glancing at me slightly.
"Do you live in this nice neighborhood?" I question.
He chuckles.
"Well yeah. It's really peaceful out here." He smiles.
I return the smile and begin to stare out the window.
Every house is two stories with a large front yard.
As we go past one house, I notice a spiral staircase and chandelier through a large window.

I bet none of these people have children.
They don't have to worry about what they're going to eat next, or when they'll have enough money for clothes.
They have everything going for them.

I frown and look ahead.
Nathan then pulls into a fairly large driveway followed by a beautiful dark colored house.
"Wow." My mouth hangs open.
His laughing pulls me out of my trance.
"Want to go in or not?"
I nod my head really fast.
He opens his door and gestures for me to do the same.
My legs force me to follow close behind him.
At the door, he unlocks it and that's when I get to see the full beauty of this place.
The walls are a coffee color, making it feel homey.
The couch is a bright white like he just bought it fresh out the store.
Before I can even take in anything else, Nathan takes hold of my hand and pulls me over to the couch.
"How are you feeling now?" He asks.
I shoot him a smile.
"A bit better."
He returns my smile with an even brighter one.
"Would you like anything to drink?" He asks, standing up.
"Um, I wouldn't want t-"
"Nonsense. I'll make us tea."
He then heads to the kitchen and puts a kettle on the stove.
That's when I realize something.

What am I doing here?
I should be getting ready for my next class!

I stand up and head for he kitchen.
"Na-"
I run face first into something slightly soft and feel hot tea spill all over me.
I yelp in pain as it burns my skin.
"Kad!"
Nathan quickly grabs a hand towel and hands it to me.
"I'll go grab a different shirt for you to put on!"
He rushes somewhere and comes back with an over-sized shirt.

- -After-She-Changes-Her-Shirt- -

I enter the livingroom and sit down on the couch.
"Sorry about that." He rubs the back of his neck awkwardly.
"It's fine." I say.
"Heh...I'm glad." He murmers.
We begin to talk about everything that's been going in with us and for some reason I start to cry.
"Hey hey!" He runs my back.
"You're going to be an amazing dance instructor, I promise."
He scoots closer to me and wipes away a few tears with his thumb.
His hand lingers and we slowly lean in closer til our lips connect.
Butterflies erupt in my stomach and we don't pull away until long after we have both ran out of air.
After catching our breath, we dive back into the kiss.
His hand go up and under the shirt he gave me and he tugs on my bra.
I begin to wrap my legs around his waist and he lifts me up off the couch, holding me tightly by my butt.

The next thing I know we're in a bedroom and my clothes are on the other side of the room.
