Y/n's POV

*-*Memory*Two*-*

I'm sitting in a cold metal chair.

I'm wearing nothing but a training bra and underwear. I'm also blindfolded for some reason; like thats going to change anything.
Around me I can hear tons of people shuffling around. There's loud clanking sounds and they're all talking like I cant hear them.

"Connect the wires to its head." A male says to someone.
It. That's me. Im not human. I am just an It for them to run experiments on.
I feel hands start to connect stuff to my head.
"Don't touch me." I growl.
They just continue to do what they're doing.
"I said, don't f*****g touch me!" I yell, moving my head all around and trying to remove my hands and feet from the restraints.
"Send through an electric impulse."
The voice is unfeeling and soundd like they don't even want to be here.
Before i can even respond a horribly painful shock goes through my head.
It feel like someone is stabbing me in the head multiple times with a sharp knife. The pain is so intense, but I physically am unable to scream.
When it stops my head falls down and my chin smack against my chest.
"What is your name?" Someone asks me.
"F**k you." I mumble.
Another shock goes through ny brain making my head shoot up and my eyes widen.
"How old are you?" They ask.
"Eleven." I say with defiet as my chin smacks against my chest once more.
"You can only see if you want to see."
The person tells me.
"You don't want to see. That's why you are continuing to stay blind. Its your own choice."
I use all of my energy to shake my head no.
"I want to see." I tell them. "I want my mom and dad to love me."
The person sighs.
"Okay then. We will begin test one." They say, their voice kind of farther away than it was before.
"Take off its blindfold and use the impulses to encourage it to use its eyes." The person says.
I feel a tear slip down my face as someone rips off my blindfold.
"Test one : November 15th; Impulses!" Someone yells.

"Okay now I'm going to show you an asortment of pictures. I want you to name what they are as i flip through." A much more kind voice says.
"If you can't see it say 'See'. If you can't then say 'Next'."
I nod very slightly and force my body to lift up my head.
I hear a click and assume she has started to flip through.
"Next."
Another shock; this one more intense than the last two.
"What the hell?!" I try to tell eith my strained voice when it stops.

This goes on for so long that by the end I'm almost completely sure they've scrambled my brain.
When I'm told that I'll be going back to my cell like room, I can't even walk. I can't talk anymore either.
My whole body just feels tingly and I can't keep any coherent thoughts.
Two of the 'nurses' have to drag me back to my room.
They both take one of my arms and let my legs drag against the dirty floors.
Soon we make it to my room and they throw me onto my bed before leaving, locking the door behind them.
I lay on the bed in an uncomfortable position and unable to move for who knows how long until suddenly a sound comes from the direction of my window.

"Psst! Y/n!" An all too familiar voice calls out to me.
I try to speak but all that comes out is a groan.
"Y/n?" I hear her open the window and jump into the room.
"Why aren't you wearing and clothes?" Her voice comes from the othrr side of the room.
"What did they do to you?" She asks now that she's closer and can fully see me.
"Zzzzzz." I only manage to make zapping sounds.
"What?" She seems confused.
"Zzzzzzzzzzzzz." I repeat.
She thinks for a long moment before almost yelling.
"They electrocuted you!? Those monsters!"
"Shhhhhh." I shush her so she knows people may be able to hear her.

The girls name is Kelly.
She had cancer and still kinda does.
I met her when i was in a hospital in Arkansas.
We were both only seven at the time and I would sneak into her room, which was right next to mine, to play games with her.
She taught me hand games and word games. We would also teach one another more about our conditions.
I was only in thay hospital for a month and sadly then moved onto a new one in Texas. Right now I'm in Arizona.
Kelly's family are really nice and they drive her up to whatever hospital in in at least once every two weeks.
She'll find out which window is mine and sneak in.

"How can they do that to a kid?" She mumbles to herself.
"Well I brought you something." She changes the subject.
"Hnnnnn." I groan.
"It's a necklace. It's a f/c heart locket with a picture of us inside." She tells me. "Even though you can't see it, I think one day youll be able to."
I smile as she puts it around my neck.
A quiet beeping comes from her pocket.
"Well i better get going now."
My smile falls into a frown.
"I'll be back in a few weeks. I hope you can hold up until then."
Kelly then says goodbye before i assume she leaves out the window she has entered through.
As my mind fades to darkness I can't help but thank Kelly for coming to see me. Without her I would go insane in all of thesr hospitals.

One day it will be Kelly and I againdt the world.

I think to myself with a smile on my face as sleep takes over.
