The evening sun shone dimly into the cabin, the fireplace was going, for it had started to get cold outside, the dead bolt was locked.

Inside the room stood three teenagers. One sat in the corner by himself, hugging his knees loosely and staring out into space with a dead expression. His hand loosely clenched into a fist and back against the wall. The boy sat, his brown hair hiding his brown eyes.

The next sat in front of the fireplace, eyes hiding behind glasses with a small sad smirk across his face. His white hair was messy as he sat on the floor, his fingers fiddled with themselves as his mind let itself wander.

The next sat welding a pocket knife, the cold metal heated underneath his touch. The man's blue eyes studied the ceiling as his ears combed the air, awaiting any noise out the ordinary. He raked a hand through his green hair, making even more messy. Only to then return to gaze upon the ceiling as though it was riddled with stars just as the night sky.

Suddenly banging was herd coming from the trap door, followed by muffled yelling. The person downstairs was growing frantic, worried and paranoid.

" Shane's awake" Dan stated, eyes not moving.

Jack simply nodded as he slipped off the bench he claimed as his seat. The man walked over to Tyler, who flinched away from his presence. The Irishman held out his small pocket knife towards the sitting boy in a non-threatening manner.

" Take it" Jack ordered.

Hearing Jacks demanding tone the boy took the knife from his hands, setting it in his lap. His eyes grazed upon it, wondering what use it would have for him.

" Dan come over here" Jack called, holding out his hand towards the boy.

Dan hesitated as he played with his hands, looking down. He didn't want to go anywhere near Jack ever again, but unfortunately he was stuck with him.

" Dan" Jack called in a warning voice, as if a mother as scolding their child.

At Jacks strong words the taller teen stood up immediately and strode over to the man who had called him. Dan took his place, sat next to Tyler, who gave him a worried look. Both feared the man that stood over them.

Jack sat in front of the pair. Tyler looked down to the weapon in his hands. He could stab Jack right now. He could escape. Although Tyler did nothing to move and encourage his thoughts. He sat, frozen in place with fear.

Suddenly the gay boy became aware that Jack had loomed closer. Putting a finger under his chin so that Tyler looked up at him. Tyler had no choice but to look into the strong blue eyes that pierced into his soul and broke his will.

" Don't let Shane out for another hour Tyler" Jack whispered.

The Irishman then leant up and kissed Tyler on the forehead with love, hugging the teen in the process. This moment only lasted seconds. It left Tyler feeling strangely safe in Jacks warm embrace, but also terrified.

The green haired boy returned to his original seat, sitting a few feet away from his pets. Jacks gaze landed on Dan, whom avoided eye contact.

" Dan, you me and Felix will be going on a little adventure soon. But not after I have spent quality time with Shane" Jack spoke clearly, but flatly.

Dan nodded, blinking tears from his eyes as his hands balled into fists. He didn't want to let this happen to another student. Hell he could have stopped Tyler being here. But Dan did nothing. Dan always did nothing. The teen had been labeled a trouble maker by his parents, the school, almost everyone.
But jack was different, Jack told him how much he meant to him. He held him when he was sad and loved him. Dan couldn't wouldn't do anything that would cause Jack to leave. Dan needed Jack in his life. Without him Dan feared that he would die.
