DESCRIPTION in which a girl who has night terrors suddenly finds herself dreaming of a clown and children... before everything actually happens.
EXTENDED SUMMARY Stephanie Hopkins didn't pay attention to the world around her. She was always too busy stuck inside her own head. Ever since Stephanie was a little girl, she had horrible nightmares. Most of the time, she would wake up drenched in sweat, screaming at the top of her lungs. But, the day before Georgie Denbrough disappears, Stephanie wakes up in the middle of the night from another nightmare. But this time it's about a clown and a little boy. Now, Stephanie is seeing the clown everywhere, in her dreams and in the shadows. And even though she can't admit it, she sees the missing kids disappear before it even happens. It isn't until she runs into Beverly Marsh and a few boys including Bill Denbrough at the local pharmacy when her whole world is turned around. Will Stephanie make it out alive?
NOTES - Stephanie isn't popular at school and she has a very hard time staying awake
- She has to go to many doctors and her parents are very worried about her mental health.
- she is afraid of falling asleep (mostly because of the nightmares) and she is also afraid of losing everyone she cares about. make sure to write that in as well since that is another important part of her character.
- The best love interest for this story is most likely Bill Denbrough because they'll open up to each other and she knows the most about Georgie's death since she had a dream about it.
- The love interest must be a show burn. She can't fall in love with them right away because she's dealing with so many problems.
- She also doesn't have a lot of energy because she's always so tired and she's always taking prescriptions to try to keep her awake.
- You should write about the dreams she has because they play a key role in her character.
- Her character does end up in a coma at the end of the book (HAS TO HAPPEN DURING THE END FIGHT WITH IT)
- The ending must be open ended. You must make it so the readers don't know if she actually wakes up from the coma. The last chapter can be in her love interest's point of view before they move away. Maybe she squeezes their hand but nothing happens after that.
- At the end of the battle, pennywise grabs onto Stephanie by her head and her eyes suddenly burn a bright white light before she falls to the ground once the group gets pennywise off of her.
