EXTENDED SUMMARY Marlee Tiller could see dead people. And the girl didn't have the heart to tell Stuttering Bill that she could see his brother's spirit. The brunette was Derry's token basket case, often seen riding her bike around the town talking to no one but herself. Everyone at school heard her stolen whispers in the bathroom stall and her out of place questions at the lunch table. To the people of her hometown, she was another one of the lunatics, lumped together with the rest of the kids who were social afterthoughts. But when the girl stumbles across Georgie Denborough a few days after his disappearance, her life changes in a twisted turn of fate.
NOTES — she joins the losers after the last day of school & she gets bullied by henry & bill invites her to hang out with them out of sympathy ( the others don't dig this idea )
— the losers are wary of her at first !! after all she can see people the others can't, but after she explains her gift it doesn't nearly sound as strange as a child eating clown
— the guilt of georgie's death carries with her especially as she gets closer with bill
