EXTENDED SUMMARY Nicholas Mathers adored Bill Denbrough. Totally and utterly. And for a time, it seemed like Bill may have adored him back, when he kisses Nick on the first night of summer vacation.
But then Beverly Marsh comes into the picture, and Bill starts completely ignoring Nick, and he's hurt. He can't believe Bill is acting like it never happened. Until Bill returns one night, and Nick falls into a world of secrets and sweet kisses, and he becomes sick of playing a supporting role in Bill Denbrough's heart.
NOTES - Based on 'Starring Role' by Marina and the Diamonds (WHAT A BOP)
- Bill ends up with Bev and Nick is sad, which sucks because he deserves better, but maybe have a little teaser at the end that he may end up with someone else, like Eddie or Mike?
- Bill basically shows up at his window in the evenings and they just kinda sit there and kiss (innocently!!) and then the next day Bill acts like it never happened but then he comes back and it's a vicious cycle
- Nick can't refuse because he loves Bill and is desperate to hold on to whatever he has
- At the end of the book he should confront Bill and tell him he's done being an object and being treated so shittily and he's ending and Bill's like Nick wait but Nick's like fuck no
- Nick's fear is Bill basically calling him nasty names and saying he hates him
- He has a stable home life but isn't out to anyone
- Really close with Ben and Eddie as well
- Nick just wants Bill to notice him and look him in the eyes but he won't, Nick does a lot of pining
