EXTENDED SUMMARY:
Dorothy Peters had been babysitting kids since she was 12. It was her main source of income, and she wasn't going to stop anytime soon. But when she wasn't looking after the little girls and boys of Derry, Maine, she was usually at the library filling her mind with random facts from whatever nonfiction book she was into that week. Learning was, after all, her favorite thing in the world. Which was the reason she was top in her freshman class, and the reason for her lack of friends.
And when she suddenly finds a crazy-eyed Ben Hanscom running from the library basement, she finds herself intrigued with what exactly he was running from. This intrigue only grows when she sees him again in an alley next to the Center Street Drug Store. Except this time, he's covered in dirt and bleeding from his stomach. Naturally, her babysitter instincts kick in and she plans to keep him and the rest of the self named Loser's Club safe.
Even if that means fighting off a killer demon clown.
NOTES:
- So Dorothy is 16 and she's going into her sophomore year after the summer if over
- She has absolutely no idea who any of the Losers are after she meets them because she's in high school while they're all in middle school
- You gotta stress that she has no friends, because without that fact she wouldn't be a loser
- Because she has no friends she has a very (talkative?) inner monologue. If you write it'll mostly be her thoughts and very little dialogue in the beginning
- You can make up her home life and personal fears! They may be correlated depending on what you come up with, or she could have more common fears idk lol
