EXTENDED SUMMARY
LADYBIRD HATED DERRY. ALL SHE WANTED TO DO WAS FINISH UP SCHOOL and go to New York. Everyone was the same, with their weird sense of style and weird morals — Ladybird hated it. Including her own name (which was Christine).
The moment she bumped into Beverly Marsh before heading outside for her mom was something that changed her life forever. From her bright red hair to her beautiful ocean eyes, Ladybird was wonderstruck. She wanted nothing more to befriend the girl as quickly as possible, be her best friend and be something extraordinary in each other's lives.
And it then it happened, somewhat. Rather than immediately becoming best friends, the two girls got stuck having to face a killer clown that ate children and took the shape of their worst fears alongside a group of boys known as the losers club. It wasn't exactly what Ladybird had wanted for her and Beverly, but hey, everything happens for a reason. And the reason for that situation could be to bring them closer, and form a bond that would stay together for the many years to come.
NOTES
—a somewhat good summary on my part, but the ending was okay (i suck at endings) so if u wanna spice it up a bit thats totally.
— bev & ladybird are a slow burn because ladybird at the start just wants to be friends with bev and never thought about liking her romantically.
— ladybird is very outgoing and different. which is why she doesnt like a lot of people in derry. she has a different taste in style of music, clothing, food, etc. & she isnt afraid to voice her mind whenever someone picks on her because of the "stupid" name she calls herself.
— keep in mind this is a ladybird au so not all of the characters from the movie will be featured in this book! i was thinking that itd only be her parents because shes more focused on helping the losers kill pennywise so.

— her worst fear isnt being loved by her mother because if you remember in the movie, her & her mom dont have the best relationship so ladybirds afraid that her mom doesnt love her.
— at the end they should get a happy ending. once bev gets settled with her aunt, she calls up ladybird & they write to each other constantly (ladybird gave bev her phone number & address before she left) and then meet again in new york when their in college (or the summer after they graduate, you can decide).
— ladybird is a badass & isnt gonna take shit from pennywise when he tries to hurt her & her friends.
