EXTENDED SUMMARY It was no secret that Eddie Kaspbrak was crushing on the girl who administered his meds to him every Tuesday, and who slipped him sticks of gum to hide in one his fanny packs. And though the girl wasn't heavily liked at the school, and was for lack of a better word, eccentric, with her unkept curls and quirky comments, Richie couldn't help but inform Eddie that "she's kinda hot though." After witnessing the group of losers stumble in the aisles of her dad's store, overhearing their chatter of a kid in an alley, Regan sneaks out of the back door and meets a battered Ben Hanscom being catered to by none other than Eddie. From there, the blonde is swooped into the world of killer clowns and your mom jokes, all the while wondering why the frail brunette boy was staring at her like that.
