EXTENDED SUMMARY The David family were widely known through Derry for being the most wealthy family in town, and the large mansion at the end of Jackson street only proved that more so. And they could all thank one person, Kimberly's great-great-great-great grandfather, Jonathan David. Or the man who invented the rubber band. With no limitations to what they could spend, Kim's parents were able to provide anything their daughter wanted. Which included her own dance studio, and a personal dance teacher. Now, 7 years later, dance is the only thing she's truly focused on and loved.
But despite being able to afford the tuition of the most prestigious private school in Maine, Mr. and Mrs. David wanted to keep their only child humbled as she entered junior high. So, for the seventh grade, she attended Derry Middle School. Where Ben Hanscom fell in love with her from across the home room classroom that they shared each morning. He was always watching her stretch her flexible muscles to wake her body up during the 8am class, and rehearse her latest dance using only her feet under her desk. Even outside the privacy of her dance studio, you could guess that she was a dancer after 5 minutes of knowing her.
But Ben never expected Kimberly to stumble onto him as Eddie Kaspbrak stitched him up in the alley next to the the Center Street Drug Store. And Kimberly certainly didn't expect to take a liking to the self-named Losers Club. But she did both these things, and finds herself discovering and fighting a killer clown they all call It to save Derry and avenge Bill Denbrough's 6 year old brother's death.
All alongside Ben, who can't help but fall for the brunette even more the deeper they get into the situation. And what's even worse? Kimberly was starting to fall for him too.
NOTES - When Kim joins the Losers Club, she instantly clicks with Bev and they become best friends
- She first meets Eddie, Bill and Stan in the drugstore because she's buying gauze to wrap around her feet because of how sore they can get, but then she goes to the bathroom or gets distracted and by the time she gets back they're gone. She then turns into the alley and finds them
- Kimberly's family owns various parts of the city and her great-something uncle actually helped discover Derry in the 1600s
- She always feels forced to be a certain person either around her parents or her "friends" at school so she likes to walk around town after school bc it's the one time she really gets to be herself
- There has to be a Bev/Kim sleepover at one point pls I'm begging you
