EXTENDED SUMMARY Alex Perez liked to sing. He wasn't good at it, oh no. But he liked it. He sang at school, in the shower, at home, in town, riding his bike. He always had one song stuck in his head: The Piña Colada Song.
No one hated him singing that song more than Eddie Kaspbrak, his cute next door neighbour, who peeked his head over the yard fence indignantly to protest against the annoying, out-of-tune melody coming from the backyard over.
NOTES - After Eddie gets all huffy and cute at him like a week before school lets out, Alex starts sticking to him like glue and Eddie just rolls with it and brings him to join the friend group

- Bev sings along and so does Mike honestly
- Alex has athazagoraphobia (yes, you read that correctly) which is the fear of being forgotten/ignored which is why he's so loud and sings all the time
- A pure, loud, singy boy
- Bev looks at him and immediately knows he's gay and she asks him in private soon after and he just shrugs like "yup"
