"...and they lived happily ever after." I read on the last page of the book I saw here inside the bookstore. "I swear I'd never get tired of reading that line forever," I said to my friend, Zendaya, dreamily.

"I know." She told me with a bored look on her face. "Pero sana naman, you'll get tired of reading the ending line first before the whole story. Tama ba namang magsimula sa dulo? Mahiya ka naman sa nagsulat."

"Naninigurado lang naman ako. I can't just start reading and fall in love with a book that'll only break my heart in the end."

She smirked. "Whatever." She straightened up from leaning against the bookshelf behind her. "By the way, just in case you're not aware, it's almost ten pm and---"

"What?" Halos isigaw ko.

I immediately returned the book on its shelf. I am so dead!

"Why didn't you tell me?" Nagmamadali ko siyang hinila palabas ng bookstore at ng mall.

"I just did." And she still has the guts to be sarcastic. "At ngayon ko lang din napansin. Actually no, nagtext si dad kaya ko nakita."

We ran our way to get outside. At nang makalabas ay naroon na at naghihintay sa kanya ang kanilang driver.

"Your dad's probably waiting for you. Go ahead, I'll just wait for our driver here." Sabi ko matapos habulin ang hininga dahil sa pagod ilang sandali pagkalabas namin ng mall.

"Hihintayin na kita. It's already late, hindi kita pwedeng iwan mag isa, baka mang-manyak ka pa't madamay ako."

"Sira." I chuckled. "Seryoso, may guard naman dito so it's safe. Tatawagan ko na si manong kaya maya maya lang nandito na 'yon. Mauna ka na."

We argued with it for a few minutes bago ko siya tuluyang napaalis.

Now it's my turn. I'm pretty sure hindi pa nakakauwi si Sophie, my cousin from her outing with her friends kaya hindi pa siya tumatawag hanggang ngayon.

I pulled my phone out just to find my battery almost drained. It'll shut down anytime now so I quickly dialed manong driver's phone number. After two rings, he answered.

"Hello po mam! Uuwi na ba kayo?" Salubong niyang tanong.

"Yea. Nasaan po kayo?"

"Mam kase... nasa ospital ako ngayon. Pasensya na po at hindi na ako nakapag paalam, sinugod po dito ang anak ko e. Pero babalik na 'ko ngayon d'yan mam."

"Hindi na hindi na. Asikasuhin niyo nalang po muna ang anak niyo. Kaya ko namang umuwing mag isa."
