"Happy birthday Adah."

"Well, thank you! For the hundredth time..." I playfully rolled my eyes at Zeya.

She's been wishing me a happy birthday from the moment I opened my eyes this morning... and I'm glad and thankful to God 'cause I did have a happy birthday! Mabuti nga at tumapat ang araw na ito sa weekend kaya mas lalo naming naenjoy.

Ngayon ay gabi na so Sophia is very busy downstairs, welcoming all our guests, which I actually couldn't care less. She invited so many people and I don't have any idea who are some of them. I just recognize them from our school.

"What are you doing, locking yourselves in here?" Sophia questioned happily when she entered my room. "Why don't you go downstairs, greet the visitors, enjoy the party and have fun, come on!"

Don't know what to say... tinitigan lang namin siya. I'm leaning on the headboard of the bed with a book in my hand while Zeya is lying down, her head on my leg, and busy browsing the photos we took earlier in her camera. Yup, this is how I plan to spend the last hours of my birthday.

"Oh, really?" My cousin said with sarcasm when she did not get any reaction from us. "Join the party, you guys. It'll be fun! And Adah, ang dami nang naghahanap sa'yo sa labas."

Nagkatinginan kami ni Zeya. Just a few eyebrows raise and we've already came up with our decision. "We'll be down in minutes."

"Make sure susunod kayo." She told us before she disappeared from the door.

Pareho kaming tamad na bumangon. I placed my book on the bedside table, unlike Zeya who can't seem to get her camera away from her. She wore its lace on her neck so I shook my head at her in disbelief.

"Wait lang Zey..." I held her arm first before she can reach out to the door. Nilingon niya 'ko. "You think ininvite ni Sophie si..." I wavered.

"Prince?" Siya na ang nagtuloy para sa akin.

I nodded as an answer. I told her everything that happened by the way, because first, she is my best friend, and second, I need my best friend right now. Simple. Umiyak ako sa kanya at sa kauna unahang pagkakataon, ang dahilan nito ay lalaki... na hindi kabilang sa aking pamilya.

"Well, knowing your cousin... sure she did! Wala 'yong palalampasing pagkakataon ano! But even so... you think pupunta si Prince after..."

Napaisip ako. Pwede. Siguro. Baka. Maaari. Posible. What if ginawa nga niya ang sinabi ko na kilalanin si Sophie? Bigyan niya ng pagkakataon? What if friends na pala sila? Hindi na kami nag uusap ni Prince kaya paano kung nagkikita sila nang hindi ko alam? What if makita ko silang magkasama or worse, naglalambingan sa baba? What the hell am I gonna do then?
