Sophia

"Ivan, are you okay?" tanong ko sa anak ko kanina ko pa kasi napapansin parang wala siyang energy simula ng mangyari ang nangyaring gulo kanina.

"Yes mommy," he said as he tried to smile at me and then he goes back to playing with his toys again.

I sighed as I went near to him and ask him "Do you want to go see Ate Ziel?"

Nakita kong umiling si Ivan "She's mad at me" sambit niya at ngumiti ng matipid pero nakikita ko ang kalungkutan sa mga mata niya.

Yumuko ako para mapantayan siya at tsaka hinawi ang nakaharang niyang buhok "Baby, Ate's not mad at you" pagalo ko.

"Yes, she is. She doesn't like me anymore, she likes that Bullet more than me" he said as he pouted "I hate her"

"Ivan that's bad"

"But she said she hates you"

I smiled bitterly "But still Ivan, hating your own sister is bad"

"I don't care, I still hate her"

"Ivan!" I raised my voice to warn him.

"But she hurt you"

"Ate Ziel was just sad; she was just throwing tantrums just like you when you're sad. Kaya you shouldn't hate her okay? She's still your Ate"

Nakita kong napalip bite siya at tumango "Okay mommy, if you say so"

"Good boy" sambit ko at ginulo ang buhok niya.

Someone knock the door three times dahilan para mapakunot ang noo ko.

I know that I don't have any appointments today kasi nga day off ko.

"Daddy!" Ivan exclaimed when Ruru suddenly get inside.

"Hey there, little buddy," Ruru said while smiling as he carried Ivan.

"Is there anything I could do for you, Mr. Madrid?"

Natawa si Ruru dahil sa formal kung pagbati sa kanya.

"Gosh! You and your seriousness, Sophia" I heard Ruru say while he chuckling "Get down muna, bud, Mommy and I have something to talk" he said as he put Ivan down.

Ivan goes back to his place where he was playing.

"Have a sit, Mister"

Nakangiti siyang tumingin sa akin habang paupo.

"Do you want some coffee or tea?" I ask as I was about to walk going to my mini counter.

"No thank you, you don't have to trouble yourself," he said as he declined my offer that's why I look at him.

'He just wants to talk' I said in my mind.

"I heard about Ziel's outburst, I'm sorry about that," he said as I saw how sincere he is apologizing on behalf of his daughter.

"Really Ru, it was nothing," I said and tried to smile at him "At first maybe, I was shocked. Hindi ko inaakala na ganun pala ang iniisip niya tungkol sa akin but sooner I realize na totoo naman kasi lahat ng sinumbat niya sa akin" sambit ko at napangiti ng mapait habang inaalala ang panahon na kasama ko sila.

"Sophia" tawag ni Ruru sa pangalan ko at bakas ko ang pag-alala.

Napatingin ako sa kanya at napangiti "You don't have to worry about me, Ru, I'm fine. Hearing those words coming from Ziel makes me feel better because at least, now, I know how she feels towards me when I act as her mother na in the first place hindi ko nagawa. Dahil hindi ko naman talaga siya magagawang palitan sa puso niyo" sambit ko at ngumiti ng mapait.
