Chapter 24: A Day With Gray

"Hmmmm" you stretched your arms wide.

The breeze that's coming from the outside made the curtain sway and the sun's light went inside your room.

"Good morning" You saw Katherine in front of you with Sera.

"Good morning" and you smile back at them.

Somethings strange today, and that thing makes you cheer up.

You get out of your bed and went outside of your room.

You went to the bathroom, brush your teeth, washed your face and comb your hair. You change your clothes and get ready for a new day.

For today, your shop is close because it's Sunday and today you had an appointment.

Gray is about to meet you today.

The other day Gray said he wanted to spent his Sunday with you. You are a bit confused to what he's thinking and why he would be hanging out with you after all you know how Gray hated your presence. He was just doing something for you because he was told to.

You just waited outside your shop until you saw a glimpse of Gray walking towards you.

You saw him sighed. His doing a favor, that's what you thought.

"Did you wait?" He asked.

"You don't need to trouble yourself" you said and smiled at him.

"What do you mean?" He questioned.

"Your doing another favor again right? You don't really need to do it if you don't like it" You said those words while smiling.

"I'm okay with it if you just stop that annoying smile of yours" He said, annoyed.

You still smiled at him.

"Let's get going then" and you started to walk.

While walking, you realized that you didn't know where you two would go.

"Where are we going?" you asked him.

"Where do you want to go?" He started to wonder.

You snickered and looked at him "You made a plan to go out with me but you didn't decide if where we are going and also you are returning my question"

While saying those words you saw Gray smiling but it was just in seconds that it disappeared immediately.

Thought of him smiling, your heart thump and reacted to it. You are flustered by it but since Gray was looking forward the road, he didn't notice anything.

"What do you want to do?" He asked to you while still looking forward.

"Normally, in my day offs, I'll stay in my house doing nothing or think of any new ideas about clothes and designs for my puppets" you said.

"In short, you don't want to do anything" he said.

You two are just walking with the silent atmosphere until you saw an ice cream vendor.

You pinched his clothes and pointed the man who was selling ice cream.

"You want that?" he said and you just nodded as your eyes is sparkling.

"Are you a kid?" and heard him sighed.

You two went towards the ice cream vendor and bought an ice cream.

You sat on the near bench and eat the delicacy in front of you.

"Delish" you said after done eating the ice cream.

Silence is surrounding the atmosphere until you came up a topic just to kill this atmosphere.

"So who made the favor?" you asked him while watching the children playing.

"Mavis" he said.

"Mavis?" you are a bit shock to what he said.

"I don't know what's running in her mind but I can't just reject her favor so even if I don't want to do it, I don't have any choice" he explained.

And silence is surrounding the atmosphere again but the next conversation was initiated by Gray.

"I heard you rejected Mavis' offer" he said while looking at the blue sky.

You looked at him to see what his reaction is but he's just looking at the sky, not letting any emotion out.

"You're not angry about my decision?" you asked him.

"Why would I be angry? If you ever accept her proposal, that just means you'll trouble me more than before but....." he paused for a second "You made a chance slip before you and that's a total waste" he looked at you seriously.

"I do think so too" you said and smiled back at him.

You are a bit relief when you heard Gray's opinion about your decision. Even if he won't said it straight to you, you know that he understood why you did those things.

He stood up and lend his hand to you.

"Let's enjoy your day off" and you saw him smile at you directly.

You put your hand to his hand and he helped you stood up.

"So where are we going?" You cheerfully asked him.

"Where do you want to?" he asked you back.

"Hmm, then let's go shop some materials" And you spend your whole day off with Gray just shopping for the things for your shop.

After shopping, Gray accompanied you to your shop.

"Thanks for today" you said to him.

"I don't really know why I keep handling the things involving you" He sighed and scratched his back.

You snickered and looked at him "Maybe it's because we're really good friends" you said.

"Shame on you, we're not even friends" he said with a bitter tone.

"Ehh....." you can't believe what he was saying.

"It's a joke" he said a laughed to your reaction.

"Thanks for today" He said and waved a goodbye to you.

You waved your hand and "Be careful on your way home. Good night" you said

You went inside your shop and saw Katherine and Sera cleaning the shop.

"I'm home" you said with a smile plastered on your face.

"That's strange" Katherine went towards you.

"Huh?" you are confused to what she was saying.

"This is not your normal smile!" Katherine is frightened.

"What happened to my (y/n)? Bring her back" Katherine is beginning to hysterical.

"Calm down Katherine" Sera tried to calm Katherine down.

"It's me Katherine" you said those words while giggling.

"It's just strange, something strange about your atmosphere" she said

She looked at you with a serious expression. You gulped at her stare.

Sera was just there, observing and not knowing what's going on.

"Tell me......." tension is building up "Do you like Gray?" your eyes widened.

"WHAT?!" You and Sera shouted in unison.
