Chapter 51: Eden Project

"Do your job properly Raphael, you're not here to play around!" the leader of the project scolded me. 

(Raphael appeared in Chapter  41 so if you already forgotten anything about it you can just read it again)

"Don't scold him too much, his the key for this project to be a success right, Raphael?" 

"Yes Lexter" 

Sir Lexter or my older brother is the one who made this project possible and this is also a dream for me to help him achieve his dreams.

I was the one who is in charge to looked after a girl named (y/n), she's the main course for this project. The key my brother spoke earlier is all because I'm the only one who can approach (y/n) without a harm.

I met this kid when the horrifying event about an orphanage being burned down and also some of the kids was found dead outside the orphanage without having themselves being burned and reported that someone killed them. The only survivor is (y/n) who was found unconscious with the corpse around her.

They suspected her because she's the only one who was alive and they had traced her on having a terrifying magic, they ended up deciding on locking her up and bind her inside a lacrima. This would be a best choice for Fiore to continue have peace but before they even started doing it, our group intervened. 

Using my remake magic, I made them give up their memories about (y/n) having the puppeteer magic and make them forget about this event. I made up some scenarios so they think that this is what happened. This is how my magic works. (note: I just made this magic up)

The reason on doing this is not because I wanted to but this is what my brother told me to do and so I did it. I can't really use my magic always because using it have a side effect to my body. It will make me weak and if I use it more often, I could loss some of the senses as a human being and I can't risk it. This is a lost magic and can't be known by others.

I'm doing this not only for the project but also for this poor girl. When she went to this place we called Eden, she doesn't know anything about her past and she is like a doll who doesn't have any soul because she doesn't feel anything, she's completely numb to senses and emotions.

My brother told me about the reason she became like this, because she's too young to use a powerful magic, it ended up making her well being disappeared. I somehow know how scary having a magic that you can't even control that's why I want to help her and honestly, it's not like she opened up with me, she won't even talk to me but still she somehow felt assured if I'm with her. Only having that feeling is already making me hope more for bringing her back to who she really is.

I went to where (y/n) is currently resting.

I knocked before entering her place.

"Is little (y/n) here?" I cheerfully said while walking towards (y/n) who seems looking at the empty space again.

"It seems like you enjoy looking at the space again" I said to her while giving her a big smile.

(y/n) only looked at me in a just a second and get back to what she was doing again.

'Getting her attention is too hard but I won't give up' that's what I am thinking.

"Ahh I have a gift for you" I said and remembered I was carrying something on the way here.

"Here" I showed her the doll I was carrying.

This doll is made by me. It's not like a good looking one but I made it so (y/n) can have a companion.
