Chapter 22: Refuse or Not

"Would you like to join our guild?" As Mavis asked you about joining Fairy Tail, you became confused to how did it lead to having you joining Fairy Tail.

"I-I..... " you can't say anything back to her. You are astounded to what's happening.

"You don't need to answer me right now. I can wait to your answer" Mavis said and went inside the guild.

"What just happened?" you asked to yourself.

And in a few seconds, you suddenly laughed as if you are crazy.

'Is she kidding?! Wait, of course she's not, she's the first master of the Fairy Tail (y/n). You're crazy to think she's just taking this as a joke.'  you thought.

As the cold breeze of the night touched your skin, you immediately hugged yourself. 

"Brr.....so cold. I need to get inside" you said and hurriedly went inside Fairy Tail.

When you are already inside the guild, you walked towards Mirajane who is done sewing Katherine.

You sat in front of her and thanked her to what she did to Katherine.

"Thanks for fixing her" you said and get Katherine.

"It's fine" Mirajane said and smiled at you.

"We need to go home" You stood up and bowed down to Mirajane. "Thanks again" as you said thanks to Mirajane again, you walked out of the guild.

"What did Mavis talked to you?" Katherine asked.

"Ahhh.....hmm.... let's talk about it later" you said.

When you think about the thing you talked about earlier, you get uneasy about it. Even if it's not a negative topic, actually it was a good opportunity for a wizard like you but you still felt uneasy because of how fast the topic was changed.

You looked at the clear sky. It was so silent this night that you can't even see anyone walking in the street. 

Looking at the sky while walking in the street, you just realized that the full moon was out. It was so beautiful and bright but it gives you uneasiness just like how Mavis talked to you earlier.

Walking and walking until you are already in front of your shop, you opened the door and locked it.

You went inside your room and put Katherine to your bed.

"So what is it?" you took a deep breath and looked at Katherine with hesitation.

"Is that really a big deal?" Katherine was worried.

"Katherine" you called her and Katherine can feel your uneasiness.

"Do you know anything about my past?" and suddenly Katherine became confused.

"Is that what Mavis talked to you about."

"It's not really related to what we talked about but I realized something when I talked to her....." you paused for a second "Something is missing. Does my past really only contains about my family dying and leaving us alone or is there anything else? I don't know Katherine, I already doubt myself here" 

You can see a worried Katherine in front of you.

"You already have that deep thoughts in you." she said and put her little hands to your hands to calm you down.

"I don't know how to answer your question but I do believe on what I had. Those memories we had with mom and dad, I won't hesitate on thinking it wasn't real cause those memories was so warm to be all just an illusion. Maybe you just miss mom and dad." Katherine said with a lonely tone.
