Chapter 40: The Return of your Normal Life

"Hmmmm..hmmm...hmmm" you're humming while preparing a bunch of sandwiches for your picnic with the Fairy Tail.

Since you came back, they decided a picnic where all of the members of Fairy Tail would gather in one place and had fun. As for yourself, you felt that you don't have the need to go but Lucy insisted because she wanted you to have some peace of mind after everything that happened.

You can't reject her after saying those things that's why even if you have the feeling of being not belong to the group, you still smiled as you accept everything.

While making sandwiches, you saw Sera going out to your room while yawning.

You smiled at him and greeted "Good morning" and he smiled back at you saying while still scratching his back "Good morning"

"You're early on preparing foods for the picnic" he said and went to the fridge to get some milk.

He put it in a glass and drink the milk like a little kid.

"It would be embarassing if I'm the only one not preparing" you said to him focusing on making sandwiches.

When he's finally done drinking his milk, he helped you and the preparation has finished faster than you expected it would be.

The others will get you in 11:00 am and because it's still early, you went to your room and get Katherine from your bed.

Sera saw you getting Katherine while making a sad face. He became worried and went towards you to give you comfort.

"Katherine is a good doll" Persian said looking at the lifeless doll.

You smiled at him and pat his head "Yup that's true but she's strict to every decision I made" you looked at Katherine "But after when we came here..." you paused for a moment and wore a sad smile that even Sera recognized that you're feeling lonely of Katherine not living. "She let me decide everything and I regretted the time I can't save her"

"But you have this possession magic right? Then you can bring back Katherine" Sera said.

You thought about it for a minute and shook your head disagreeing to what he said.

"I can't use my magic that easily. I'm to weak for that" you think lowly to yourself but Sera is just there, confused why you said those words.

"What are you saying? After you came back with us, the magic you're emitting is stronger than before so you can just easily make Katherine back"

And that make you think more about yourself. It was impossible but still digesting the words that Sera said.

You put Katherine beside you and looked at your hand and slowly clenched it.

"I'll try" you get Katherine and tried to use your posession magic but you are interrupted to a man shouting downstairs.

"(Y/n)! We're here" you recognized who's voice it is so you hurriedly went out to your room with Sera.

"You're so slow" The one who called you is Natsu.

You looked around and saw Happy and Lucy with Natsu but strangely, Gray is not present.

"Where's Gray?" You question worrying that he's not here.

"He went ahead" Lucy said.

"Is that so?" You felt relief that Gray didn't fell ill.

You don't know why you're thinking about Gray getting a stomach ache and didn't have the strength in going to the picnic. You went negative easily but it faded when Lucy said the reason of him not coming here.
