Chapter 39: The Rescue

"You've finally woken up" you opened your eyes and realized your sleeping in Cedric's lap.

You immediately get away from him and noticed the sting from your head again.

"This always happens to me" you said while making yourself calm because of your headache.

You remembered the things you had dreamt and somehow it felt nostalgic to you. It's your memories in the past. Slowly, your starting to gain memories again as you gain more, your magic grew stronger and it made you feel anxious about it.

"I told you, I can answer any of your questions" he proudly said.

"Not all" you said at him.

He smiled "Everything will be revealed" as he said those words, he stood up and opened the door for you.

You are confused that's why you're just standing there, not responding to him.

You're not leaving if it's just another trap. You had enough to all Soluna's little schemes. It's making you nauseous all the time. Giving you a headache that making you suffer and also making you lost unconscious, you don't want to experience that again.

Not responding on Cedric actions, he realized why you acted like that and went back to his bed. He sat down and looked at the door.

"There's someone who will get you if you're not going out. It will be okay if Hime-sama chose to stay here but it's still not the right time for you to come back" he mumbles while looking at the door.

"Even if that day would come, I'm not going back" you said to him.

He laughed and stayed silent as you heard a loud sound from the outside.

"It looks like they're here" he said and get out from the bed. He went towards you and put his hands on your shoulders.

"Everything will come back from you" he said and left the place leaving you not reacting to his words.

The door broke as you saw someone kicking in it.

"(Y/n)!" You heard Gray shouting your name.

When you heard Gray's voice, you felt enlighten and ran towards him to hug him.

"Gray I missed you" you mumbled as you hug him tightly.

He didn't hug you back instead he gave you a cold response, as the same old Gray you knew. "I didn't miss you"

You laughed at his response, let go of him and looked at behind him just to see your other friends from the Fairy Tail.

You ran towards them and shouted in glee "Thank you for coming to get me" you said and hugged Lucy tightly.

Lucy hugged you back and the rest of them is smiling at the thought of you not having any harm happened to you.

"They didn't do anything harsh right?" Lucy asked while pinching your cheeks.

You giggled and shook your head as a response.

"This is a bit weird" Erza said looking at the surroundings. "We went here to rescue you but no raiders are left to be seen. There's no trace at all" she added, figuring out what's really happening.

"They left before we can even make a move" Sera said, flying towards you and gave you a hug. "Missed you" he whispered. You hugged him back and after that, you carried him, facing the others.

"They knew you are going to rescue (y/n). It's strange for Soluna to just leave this place not fighting back." Sera said seriously. He's trying to search for some information he had about Soluna when he was their past ally but nothing is going out from his mind.

"Even Cedric left knowing this could happen" you mumbled to yourself.

"Did you say anything (y/n)?" Lucy asked

"It's nothing" you answered and said to them that you need to leave this place right away because remembering the things that happened to you makes you sick.

All of you left, leaving the strange things behind.

You arrived safely in Magnolia and went to separate ways with them except Gray who is still staying beside you like he wanted to ask something from you. Not trying to make a move, you decided that you're going to initiate a conversation with him.

"So they told me that you're the one who's really into saving me" you said, poking his cheeks while wearying a teasing smile.

He rolled his eyes and slapped your hands to stop your teasing.

"I just felt responsible" the talk became serious when he said this words.

You felt the change of atmosphere and you seriously answered him in a low voice "You don't need to feel responsible"

"But I'm the reason why the quarrel started!" He was talking about the fight between Juvia and you.

You smiled at him to calm him down "Everything can't be stopped that time"

"Still......" he stopped for a while looking at his side with his regretted look "hearing you scream in pain like that, it triggered me to protect you" he said those things and pain is covered all over his pain.

You are moved to his words and felt the running beat of your heart. Heat rushes to your face and when Gray noticed your red face, he pointed this out like it was a weird occurence.

"Why are you blushing?" He questioned looking at your pink face.

"H-huh? No I'm not" you flustered.

You slapped your cheeks, side by side by your both hands and started mumbling to yourself. "What am I doing?"

"Are you alright?" Gray is now concerned.

You looked at him and started blushing again and unconsciously, you slapped his face while your eyes are closed.

"What is that for?!" Gray became angry.

"I'm not doing it on purpose" you said to him not knowing what is really happening.

You heard him sighed and pat your head. "Maybe you're just tired, you need to rest" after he said those words, he said goodbye and goodnight as he left the place.

Sera went outside the shop while grinning at you.

"It looks like someone got a move on Gray" he said teasing you.

You blushed again and denied him "I'm not doing anything"

"But I'm glad you're okay" Sera was relieved knowing nothing bad has done to you. They didn't know that you are even treated as a royalty but you kept it to yourself because you knew that won't happen again as long as you don't come back to them, and that's a maybe.

"You should rest now" he said and you followed him inside the shop.

Sorry for waiting that long, I just had this little time on my hands where I can write every scenes of the chapter so the updates are slow.

So happy I'm done to the scene about the Soluna and now is your time to be with Gray. I'm gonna think about the next chapter because I don't have anything in my mind right now and you know what that means, a delay update again. Sorry for that but I'll try updating earlier than usual.
