Chapter 37: A Glimpse of the Past

There's a little girl named (y/n) who was been an orphan since she was a baby. No one knew who her parents are. A kid like her would only be normal to have an ordinary life but as soon as she became 5 years old, her magic has slowly developed .

An uncontrollable magic has been blessed upon her. Toys that are likely used in possession magic are the things she can controll easily. By touching it, it gave them a mind of it's own. A wonderful magic it is and the kids around her liked it so much.

Then one fated day has come and a wealthy guy who is the founder of the orphanage has visited the place where
(y/n) is currently living in.

"Where are the kids" the wealthy guy said to one of the workers of the orphanage.

"They are playing with (y/n)" the female worker said while carrying a happy smile on her face.

"She's been popular lately" he said wearing a curious expression.

"It's because she has this unique magic and the kids of this orphanage really liked what she can do" the female worker told the wealthy man happily.

The guy only knew the rumors about (y/n) because of the one in charge of the orphanage. He reported everything of what's happening inside it and no little detail can escape from the mouth of the person in charge.

Pretty curious about this young lady could do, he went to the place where the kids is currently playing with (y/n).

The wealthy man saw the young lady who tells a story to the little kids while the dolls controlled by her are the ones portraying the heroes of the story.

(Y/n) has noticed the wealthy man standing behind the kids and when her attention has landed to that guy, the dolls has stopped acting. She stood up and walked towards him.

Looking at him innocently, she asked a question to the wealthy man which made him laughed hard.

"Old man, you must be lost. This is not a place where an old man like you should pass by." She said those words seriously and her reaction is at loss when she saw the wealthy man, not taking seriously to what she just said.

This man has started liking (y/n) and everytime he has free time, he would visit the orphanage just for her.

(Y/n) has grown attached to this guy. She always call him old man but he's not that old.

"Old man, you like kids?" (Y/n) asked with her cute little voice.

"I liked them but not entirely" he answered.

"Then....... Do you like me?" (Y/n) asked again but in a low voice.

"Of course I like you" he said without hesitating.

"Then, could you be my father old man?" She said, looking at him with the desires of having a family.

"I already planned it right from the start" as he said those words, he gave (y/n) a warm hug that made her cry.

All she wanted is to have an affection of a parent and this man gave her what she wanted but not all of good things are meant to happen everyday.

And that's when your life takes turn...
