Chapter 50: Who You Really Are  Part 1

(y/n) is pretty contented right now, having her friends in the orphanage being happy of what she's capable of doing and having a man who looks at her as his child is the best thing of her life right now.

"What's your biggest fear young lady" Mr. Lexter asked (y/n) while searching for a four leaf clover.

She stopped from searching and looked at the sky with loneliness traced in her eyes.

"Losing everyone" She said as she tried to cover her sadness with a smile on her face.

They are her precious family, she doesn't know what to do if anything bad will happen to them. She's afraid of losing anyone in her side so being anxious about this things is a common thing to her.

Mr. Lexter, the guy who owns the orphanage, stood up and went beside (y/n).

He patted her head and gave her a smile to secure that everything will be alright and that nothing bad will happen to them.

"Old man, thank you" she said as she removed his hands on top of her head.

"What if we'll go to the town and have some fun" Mr. Lexter suggested it to (y/n)

(y/n)'s eyes sparkled and was filled with joy when she heard about going to the town.

"There's an upcoming festival so I thought it would be fun if everyone will come with me and enjoy ourselves"

(y/n) agreed to what Mr. Lexter said and so she told everyone about them going to the town with Mr. Lexter and everyone are happy to hear about it.

The kids are pretty excited and can't wait for tomorrow to come.

The day came and everyone, along with the people in charge of the orphanage came to visit the town.

The kids from the orphanage are prohibited to go to the town but because Mr. Lexter said that they can come with him, they didn't slip this chance and came along.

Also the workers of the orphanage are worried about this plan but he insisted for this to continue because he wanted to make (y/n) happy by bringing her love ones with them.

When they are already at the main plaza, everyone can already feel the festive atmosphere. Towns people are happily dancing with the tune played by the musicians. Some of them are also offering fruits that are just harvested yesterday to the people who gathered in that place.

The beautiful song that echoes in the plaza and the people smiling with one another is a very good sight to watch, that's what (y/n) thinks about it.

While (y/n) is watching the towns people dancing, one of the guys hand his hands to (y/n) and pulled her to the dance floor.

"Woah" (y/n) was surprised when some guy suddenly pulled her along with him.

"Don't be afraid" the guy who pulled (y/n) gave her a kind and reassuring smile.

(y/n) smiled back at him and played along with him.

The two of them danced and also stopped when they started to get exhausted of dancing.

"Here" the guy gave (y/n) a lemonade and happily accepted it.

"Thanks" (y/n) drank it and after drinking, that's when she realized that she already forgotten about having acquaintances and just came along with this guy not even saying a thing to them.

"Ahh...." the guy stopped her not even finishing her sentence.

"I'm sorry if I grabbed you all of the sudden" he came to apologized while scratching his back because of embarrassment.

"Don't worry about it. I had fun" you said at him.

"I just need to go back with the others but....." (y/n) looked around but she couldn't catch a glimpse of them. She's starting to get worried that they might looking for her.

"I'm the one who came to trouble you so let me help you find them" he said, stood up and finished his drink.

He lend her a hand to stood up and (y/n) accepted it.

While walking with tons of people around them, the guy didn't let go of this little girl's hand cause he can't afford to loss her in this crowd.

It didn't take long when the both of them found the others.

"Old man, sorry about disappearing" (y/n) said as she ran towards Mr. Lexter.

"I thought we lost you already. Don't get us worried again" Mr. Lexter hugged her tightly.

"I'm sorry about that" the guy apologized to Mr. Lexter.

"No worries abo..... ohh Raphael"

"You knew each other?" (y/n) is pretty confused right now.

"Yup on some reasons" Mr. Lexter said and whispered something on his ears. "Then we need to go, nice meeting you again Raphael" and he grabbed (y/n) away from him.

(y/n) don't know what just happened earlier and ignored it because all she could think is making Mr. Lexter and the other's worries fade away.

Everyone had a good time in the festival. The kids played with some of the games that are prepared for the event. (y/n) also played one of the games but didn't won because she didn't understand the criteria of the games.

And so the festival is done and everyone came back to the orphanage.

"Thank you for this day old man" (y/n) said giving him a big smile.

Mr. Lexter smiled back at her. "If it's for you" he said and left the place.

"Today is really special" one of the kids named Gilliard said while looking at the stuff toy Mr. Lexter bought for him.

"Yeah, everyone is so courteous that they accepted the likes of us" Minoa said hugging her pillow.

"Let's take a nap and have some rest. I'm sure all of you are tired" (y/n) said and walked towards to the light switch.

"Goodnight (y/n)" everyone said in unison and she also said it back at them and turned off the lights.

But the next thing that happened, the kids have been kidnapped and (y/n) is one of them.

"We got everything you said sir" (y/n) heard this as one of the kidnappers talked to their boss using the communication lacrima.

"Hurmmm...hermmm" (y/n) is trying to talked to the guys but her mouth is covered with cloth.

The kidnappers ignored her and grabbed one of the kids of the orphanage.

(y/n)'s eyes enlarged and was shocked to what they did to the kid.

They killed them just right in front of her.

"Nhmmmm!" (y/n) is screaming but they still ignored her.

They take out one by one of the kids they kidnapped and killed them.

(y/n) was only there watching them while doing this.

Tears fall from her eyes, didn't know what to do anymore. Her family is one by one taken cared of but only she can do is watch them doing nothing.

"Don't worry sweetie, this is not everyone" after he said those words, (y/n) heard a loud explosion outside the truck.

She was kicked out from the truck and saw the burning orphanage.

They get the clothes away from her mouth and the only thing she did is scream in pain, seeing the end of everything she had been trying to protect.

Now everything is gone....
