"When Y/n?! On day 132 you said soon! On day 265 you said soon! When is soon?!" Eleven yelled as her eyes held anger "soon! Alright?! Why are you yelling at me like it's my fault you can't see Mike?! I'm just trying to protect you!" "Protect me from what?! I don't need your protection!" I frowned "from all the bad people who're trying to take you away from me! Don't you understand?" My frown deepened as my voice grew softer, she shook her head "I don't" She furrowed her eyebrows.

"I don't understand either! I'm doing everything I can to keep you safe! And you would still rather be with Mike than me..." I whimpered, she shook her head "wrong" she whispered, I sniffled as I tried to hold back my tears "it doesn't sound wrong! Admit it Eleven, you know I'm right" I rolled my eyes "YOU'RE WRONG!" She screamed and used her powers to make a mirror shatter.

I jumped and a few tears fell from my eyes, I sighed "whatever El" I muttered as I started to walk towards the front door "where are you going?" She asked as her face contorted into sadness.

"Home" I whispered and opened the door "no" she whispered back "yes, Eleven" I said sternly. "No" she said as she glared, she used her powers to slam the door shut and lock it "El, open the door, I want to go home" I said as I tried to turn the knob, she stayed silent.

She slowly approached me and pulled me into a tight hug "I'm sorry" she muttered into my shoulder, I felt something wet fall onto my shoulder "why do we even try anymore?" I asked as I pulled away from the hug, she looked at me in confusion "why are we still together?" I asked, she looked me in my eyes "because we love each other" she replied "but all we do is fight, name one day when we're not screaming our lungs out at each other, El" she shrugged "please don't leave me alone again" she whimpered and pulled me into another hug, I sighed but hugged her back "you do know I love you right? Even though we fight all the time" I chuckled and hugged her tighter "I know, and I love you too."

"I can't let you see Mike since it's too dangerous, but maybe we can compromise" I whispered "c-compromise?" She asked in confusion "compromise, c-o-m-promise, it's like, halfway happy" I smiled "we could sit around, watch tv, take pictures, and eat Eggo's all day, alright?" I asked as I intertwined our hands, she sighed "I guess when I'm with you, halfway happy is alright" I smiled at her and kissed her cheek lightly "don't worry El, we'll see him again" I muttered "promise?" She asked as she plopped an Eggo into the toaster "promise."
