Wednesday 3rd September
After the Calum problem was taken care of, both Ella and I walked back into the staff room where i picked up my coat, before sliding it on, and slung my bag over my shoulder. I watched as Ella did the same and when she'd finished she turned to me with a smirk.
"He was cute Charlotte." She said with a wink and i rolled my eyes in response.
"No, he was an idiot." i replied bluntly.
"Oh come on, you can't stay single forever." She groaned and i breathed a laugh as we both walked out of the staff room, and began locking up.
"I'm not going to stay single forever." I laughed slightly as we made our way to the front door.
"Yes you are, because every guy that i say is cute, you say no to.x" She moaned but i just rolled my eyes in response and opened the door letting Ella out first before closing it behind me.
"I will go out with a guy when i find the right one okay?" I raised my eyebrows as i pulled out the keys from my pocket and locked the cafe door before turning to her. She sighed before giving up once again on this conversation.
"Fine." she huffed before turning and walking her way home.
"Night Ella." i waved.
"Night Charlotte." she shouted back with a slight wave before she continued to walk home.
I turned and began walking my way home, i felt the cold suddenly hit me so i pulled my coat tighter around myself and kept my head down as i walked home.
I was walking for about 10 minutes when i heard heavy footsteps running in my direction, and before i could register what was happening, i was on the ground with somebody on top of me. I rubbed my head from where they had ran into me and groaned in response.
"Jesus i'm so sorry." He apologised before he quickly got off me, and reached out a hand to help me up. I grabbed onto his hand and he pulled me up as i dusted myself down.
"You should really watch were you are going." I huffed before finally looking up at this stranger. He had blonde hair, which had been styled up into a quiff, bright blue eyes, which were still visible in the dark of the night, a lip ring, and wore black skinny jeans paired with black vans and a black muscle tee that read 'You Complete Mess'.
"I am really sorry, i was looking for my friend, have you seen him?" He asked, he did look genuinely worried sick.
"Whats his name and what does he look like?" I asked politely.
"He's about 6ft, brown mop of hair, brown eyes, kind of looks like a lost puppy but he's a genuine dick." He huffed and i giggled a little which made him do that adorable half smirk that guys do. "I'm Luke." He smiled and held out with hand to shake, which i did.
"Charlotte." I replied with a small smile.
"Thats a beautiful name." He half smirked and i blushed slightly.
"Thanks" i replied before realising about his friend. "Um... Your friend...?" I said more as a question and he seemed to snap out of his daydream.
"God yeah, have you seem him?" He asked and i chuckled a little bit.
"Is his name by any chance, Calum Hood?" I rolled my eyes just at the mention of his name.
"Yes! Thats him!" He beamed and i scoffed a tiny bit. "And by your reaction, i'm going to go out on a limb and say you're not to keen on him?" He smiled to himself and i nodded in reply with a tiny laugh.
"Uh.. Well...he's um... a...lovely guy." I said sarcastically making Luke laugh a little. Wow he has a cute laugh.
"Shit, what did he do?" He raised his eyebrows as he let out another small laugh.
"Oh nothing really...just living of his fame, being an extremely terrible flirt, and if you don't mind me saying, he was a total jerk." I replied. Luke groaned and ran his, abnormally large, hands over his face in shame.
"Jesus, i am so sorry." He apologised with a slight laugh. "He is a nice guy, but he can be a bit of a dick at times." He did that stupidly adorable half smirk again and i laughed a little in reply.
"It's fine, we took care of it." I smiled and he furrowed his eyebrows at me.
"I'm sorry we?" He asked in confusion.
"My friend and i own a little cafe down the road, and we'd already closed up, but your friend wouldn't leave without his order so my friend had to kick him out." I explained and he nodded in reply.
"Fair enough, did he say anything to either of you?" He bit his lip in anticipation but i shook my head.
"He was a little sexist and rude, but its fine." i said with a small smile. "Look i have to get home now, its kind of late." i said awkwardly.
"Oh shit yes of course, sorry." He said just as awkwardly as i had, which made me smile. "Here let me walk you home." He smiled and held out his arm for me to link.
"What about Calum?" I furrowed my eyebrows at him.
"He can wait, it sounds like both Calum and I have caused you enough trouble tonight, so the least i can do is walk you home." He smiled which i returned before linking my arm with his.
"Sounds fair enough." I replied as we started walking back to my apartment.
About 5 minutes of laughing, joking, and just generally talking, i arrived at my apartment door.
"Thank you for walking me home." i said gratefully and he just shrugged.
"Its the least i could do." He half smirked and i smiled in return.
"Goodnight Luke." I waved before turning and walking to my front door. I went in my pocket to pull out my keys but a hand stopped me and spun me round. I was in utter terror till i saw Luke and breathed a sigh of relief.
"Can i um... Get your number?" He asked shyly and scratched the back of his neck. I giggled lightly before going back in to my pocket and pulling out my house keys.
"I just met you Luke-" i started before turning and unlocking my door. "-but you know where my cafe is, so don't be a stranger." I winked playfully before walking into my apartment, leaving a smirking Luke on my doorstep before shutting the door behind me.
