Friday 5th September

Thank god it's Friday. Thank god Ella was in today. Thank god Luke hasn't come back. Thank god Calum hasn't come back. It was now 8pm and i was coming to the end of my shift. And I'm going to lie today was rubbish. I haven't been able to concentrate all day, and every time i was able to concentrate, i found my thoughts trailing back to Calum. Even after the day i had yesterday with Luke, i still can't help but want to know more about Calum. He's so cocky and arrogant, but i just know there has to be some sort of reason to why he's such a condescending sod. Everyone has a reason behind the way they act right? Even still, i can't stop thinking about it, and its seriously starting to bug me. I just wish-

"Excuse me?" Someone said irritatedly, causing me to snap out of my thoughts. I shook my head, finally bringing myself back to reality where an elderly lady was stood across from me, behind the counter.

"Oh, i am sorry m'am." I apologised and sent her a small smile in which she returned.

"Thats okay my love, may i have my order now?" She asked politely and i furrowed my eyebrows at her.

"I'm sorry what order?" I questioned and she let out an exasperated laugh.

"Hunny you seem a little dazed, are you okay?" She asked with concern and i just sighed a little in response and nodded. "Ahh." She chuckled slightly. "Boys?" She raised her eyebrows at me and i nodded sheepishly.

"You could say that." i replied and dropped my head, only to find a cup of tea in my hand. "Oh god! I'm sorry here's your order." I panicked a little before handing the sweet old lady her drink.

"Thank you sweetheart, here." she smiled and handed me the money. I nodded as a thank you, she smiled and held onto my hand. "If a boy has got you this distracted love, i'd suggest you keep hold of him." She grinned and sent me a small wink, causing me to let out a breathy laugh. Before i could interject about her statement, she said her goodbye and was long gone. I huffed before sitting myself back onto my little stool, and held my head in my hands. I am exhausted. I need shorter work hours. But at least when this is over i'll be able to see dad. It feels like forever since i last saw him, when in reality it was only last week. I go and visit him every weekend, and i've never missed a weekend since i moved out last year. Me and my dad get on really well, always have. He's always been kind of lonely since my mum was killed whilst serving in the navy. I was only young when she died so i don't really remember her much, but of course i kind of hate that i don't have, and never really have had, any form of feminine figure in my life, thats one of the main reasons my dad and i are so close, because its just been me and him for a long time. And thats just the way i like it.

"Hey." Someone spoke as i snapped out of my daydream once again. I focused on the person in front of me and furrowed my eyebrows at them. They let out a small laugh as i pulled out my phone to check the time. 8:15...

"Wow. You actually came when we're open." I teased and raised my eyebrows at him as he let out a low chuckle.

"I wanted to see you baby." He smirked. "You know....without being yelled at to get out." He winked and i cracked a small smile.

"Yeah i'm sure you wanted to see me baby." I rolled my eyes. "Hot chocolate, marshmallows and cream then?" I blurted out and he raised his eyebrows at me with that stupid smirk plastered on his face.

"Yes please Char." He breathed a laugh and i nodded choosing to ignore his nickname for me.

"So you finally learnt your manors have you?" I questioned as i began on making his hot chocolate.

"I am a nice guy you know Charlotte." He snapped and i rolled my eyes, even though i had my back to him, and let out a small scoff. "When i want to be." he continued and i let out a small laugh and shook my head in amusement.

"Whatever." I retorted and i could imagine his angered face right now.

"I'm not a complete douche Char." He shot back and i could tell, even with my back to him, that he was rolling his eyes.

"If you weren't a douche, you wouldn't keep calling me Char." I snapped back as i continued to make his hot chocolate.

"I said i wasn't a complete douche Char." He pointed out and i rolled my eyes in response.

"Can you just not call me that." I groaned and he breathed a small laugh.

"Of course baby." I could hear the smirk in his voice. I rolled my eyes for like the millionth time before pouring his drink into a takeout cup. I dropped in a couple marshmallows, squirted on some cream and pushed the lid on top. I turned on my heels and slid his drink across the counter and over to him. "I actually wanted to stay in, not take out?" He continued as he pointed down at his drink. I shrugged in reply, i looked around the cafe to see there was only one or two people actually in here, so i knelt down under the counter and picked up the disinfectant spray and a cloth. I stood back up and sprayed the counter as i began wiping it down.

"I don't want you to stay." I finally replied, not taking my eyes off the counter as he scoffed at my answer.

"You sure about that babe?" He rhetorically questioned. I gritted my teeth in annoyance and chewed on my lip to stop myself from saying something i'd regret. I can't believe i wasted my day thinking about this idiot. There is no way he can actually be a genuinely nice guy. He's so caught up in his fame and fortune that he can't see he's a complete bum.

"Whatever. Just forget it and leave please." I sighed beginning to feel just plain annoyed by arguing with him now. I watched as he picked up his drink and took a sip.

"You're such a grouch." He snarled. I bit down harder on my lip, stopping myself from saying anything too rude.

"Can you not." I snapped, continuing to wipe down the counter.

"Oh come on baby, lighten up." He groaned, playfully hit my shoulder.

I slammed down the spray bottle and on the table, causing such a noise that it caught the attention of the few customers.

"Don't touch me." I said bluntly, wanting to say so much more, but stopping myself before i could. "Just leave Calum." I sighed, rubbing my hands over my face in frustration.

"You look really pretty without makeup." I peaked out from behind my hands to see Calum's face in utter shock that those words had just come out his mouth. "I mean i um.." He sighed giving up and putting his jerk front back up.

"What is you're problem with me anyway?" He smirked, taking another sip of his drink and resting his elbow on the counter. I huffed, not being able to keep my mouth shut any longer, before looking up so my dull green eyes met his deep brown ones.

"Well i'm very sorry, but i am not another one of your many girls that you seem to have practically falling at you're feet. You're a complete jerk and thats coming from me, but you-" i paused for a minute as i saw a look of hurt cross his face for a split second, but it was instantly covered back up. "- you, are just another overly confident celebrity that gets what he wants when he wants it, and can't handle the fact i'm not interested in you."
