Monday 8th September
Calum and i ended up watching all four movies that he brought over and right now it was like 11 pm and i was starving but Calum was asleep on top of me. He managed to fall asleep half way through the last movie, Iron Man 3. We were cuddled up on my bed. His arm draped loosely around my waist as his head laid softly on my shoulder whilst the credits for Iron Man rolled in the background. I couldn't help but find the whole situation rather strange. I mean i only met this boy last week and i instantly despised him, and now he's in my house, after falling asleep on me, whilst we watched movies. It was just weird. I've never really been associated with any guys to be honest. I've never wanted to be. I've never liked the idea of falling in love. I always thought it was kind of cliché. Like that sort of, 'prince charming' stuff only happens in the movies, and it should stay that way. Because, i mean, who knows what that Prince Charming is like after the movies ends. What if he cheats on the princess with another girl because he's bored of the princes because, i mean come on, he only met her that same day. Its a possibility. But no one will ever know as you never get to see the 'behind the scenes' of a fairytale. Its just that... well, Fairytales are Fairytales. They will always be Fairytales and nothing more. And i just hate the idea of someone having so much control over another person, purely out of love. I feel like I'd get attached to much and then they'd leave. I wouldn't be able to deal with it. You could say i was afraid of commitment but I've never really liked to admit that to anyone...But that doesn't matter. It's not like i love Calum, and it's not like he loves me. We're just friends. Actually we're not even friends. I don't know what we are. We only met a week ago. I don't even know what to class us as. I felt Calum stir in his sleep, causing me to snap out of my thoughts. I ran my fingers lightly through his hair as his eyes began to open.
"Hey." He smiled slightly as he quickly sat up when he realised he had fallen asleep on my shoulder. "Sorry about that." He smiled sheepishly.
"Its alright." I croaked, my voice now feeling worse when i spoke.
"I thought i told you not to speak!" He warned and i held up my hands in defence. "Are you hungry?" He questioned, completely changing the subject, before he began coughing a little. Now i was only just realising that he was sick too and he's been taking care of me. I motioned for him to pass me my phone, which he did. I quickly unlocked my phone and went onto my notes and began typing.
'Can you release me please?' I typed and motioned to his arm around my waist, before handing him my phone, he skimmed it over and let out a breathy laugh before nodding and retracting his arm. I mouthed thank you before climbing out of bed.
"Wait, were are you going?" Cal asked just as i got to my bedroom door. I walked back and grabbed my phone from him before typing again.
'You're sick too, I'm getting you some paracetamol, a cup of tea and then I'm gonna order pizza' i typed and handed it too him but he shook his head in response.
"No baby sit down, I'll do it, I'm fine." He insisted and began to stand up but i shook my head and pushed him back, grabbing my phone from him in the process.
'No. You've done enough for me. I'll do it.' I wrote, shoving the phone in his hands and walking out the room before he could interject.
I came back a couple minutes later to see Calum almost asleep again.
"Cal you really don't look well.." I said quietly, trying not to strain my voice anymore, as i handed him the paracetamol and his cup of tea.
"I'm fine, you're the one who's sick. And i thought i told you not to speak." He pouted a little and i shrugged as he dropped the medicine in his mouth and swallowed them with a gulp of his tea, before setting his mug on the side. I climbed back in my bed, and sat a little way away from him but he just laughed a little and shook his head in amusement. I turned to him and furrowed my eyebrows at him.
"Whats so funny?" I croaked as he looked down at me, his eyes meeting mine.
"Come here baby." He smiled cheesily and wrapped his arm around my waist, pulling me close to him. I was beginning to get used to his little nicknames that he had come up for me. I blushed a little as Calum rested his chin on the top of my head. "Did you order food?" Cal asked after a couple of minutes silence and i nodded in reply.
We kind of just sat in the moment, like any minute now, we were going to lose each other. But of course that wan't going to happen. I felt Calum's grip on my waist tighten a little, so i looked up into his eyes to see that he looked like he was about to cry.
"Hey, are you okay?" I whispered to him, knowing he'd get mad if i tried to speak properly. He didn't answer me, he seemed to be in some sort of trance. I waved my hand in front of his face trying to get his attention but nothing was working. "Cal.." I whispered as i watched his eyes well up. "Cal. Are you okay?" I was starting to panic a little now. I've never seen him like this. He's always been up front about everything, guarded about everything or he is really sweet... But I've never seen him about to cry. I turned my entire body so i was practically on top of him. "Baby answer me." I whispered in an attempt of using his nickname for me to get his attention. And of course it did.
"I thought i told you not to speak babe." He frowned and i sighed in relief, resting my head on his chest.
"I don't care. Are you okay?" I stuttered a little, as i breathed heavily onto his chest.
"I'm fine baby, just fine. Don't worry about me." I looked up to see a small, but fake smile on his face. He was hiding something. I didn't know what it was he was hiding. And frankly, right now i didn't want to know. I let it go in an attempt to just get things back to how they were a couple minutes ago.
"Pizza's here." Cal whispered into my ear as the doorbell rang.
