I've been living in New York City for about three months when I received a letter.

Dear Alaska Allaire,
We ask if you can portray you signed duties of healing our soldiers at our camp Valley Forge just 18 miles northwest of Philadelphia. We have fellow soldiers near you who are more than willing to aid you on your trip down from New York. We hope you can stay longer than just Valley Forge but if not you are allowed to leave whenever. As you are voluntary risking yourself to the evil sickness that lay ahead.
-Alexander Hamilton

Lafayette, John, and Hercules have already started fighting in the war. Lafayette and John's first battle was in Brandywine as Hercules was always busy with working at the tailor shop where he spied on the British officers.
They had met a man on the night that we all went to the bar three months ago. I never got to meet him, as they've all been busy with the war. All I know is that his name was Alexander Hamilton the right-hand man to General George Washington. I noticed my letter was signed by him as he has a beautiful talent for writing. I know a lot more about him then I should for never meeting Hamilton. Lafayette loves to make it a point of how similar we are.
Finally, I was needed in at the camps so I packed my luggage with dresses and blankets. Taking, me all day to arrive at Valley Forge and when I did I wasn't pleased.
I started searching for Lafayette and John around the camp. As I was walking I felt like I was being studied by all the men. I was uncomfortable being the center of attention so I speed up continuing to search for my friends. I turned my head at the sound of a faint laugh when I felt a strong barrier hit me. I looked up to see a man with his nose in a letter.
"I'm so sorry for my inconvenience," I say as I push off the snow from my dress. He doesn't acknowledge our encounter and keeps walking with his letter. In the distance, I hear obnoxious laughter. I turn slightly revealing Lafayette and John laughing at me from a fallen log. I smile and walk over to them. I hug each of them tightly.
"Who was that?" I ask as I pull away from John. They both went silent.
"What?" I press. They exchange glances back in forth from me to each other. Their actions give me butterflies.
"That was Alexander Hamilton," Lafayette states. My stomach twists more as I turn back to where our encounter had taken place.
"You mean the Alexander Hamilton," I pause, as I pull out my thickest French accent so I sound more like Lafayette "Oh he's so nice, a writer, ah Alaska if you met him you would fall in love with him Mon Coeur," (my heart) John starts to laugh as Lafayette becomes annoyed. "Wow you must think I have low standards to go for someone as arrogant as him," I snap back into my normal French accent. John's laughter ceases and Lafayette annoyance becomes a haunting grin. I turn around revealing Alexander Hamilton behind me.
"So this is the Alaska I've heard so much about? Well, I can see the arrogance goes both ways," Alexander says looking amused for whatsoever reason. He has a small hint of a British accent. After, his words he continues to read his letter.
"Eliza? Another nurse or a mistress?" I ask in a hushed voice. He shoots me a glare "Well you can add nosey to your list after arrogant,"
"I prefer inquisitive," I respond, "You never answered my question?"
"She is neither, I met her at the Winters Ball and we've been...talking," He says, "How about you? Does my fellow immigrant have someone at home? Or possibly here?" I look down at my dress as I fumble with the material. "I was always to busy with my studies. To ever go out,"
"Ah right you were in Medical school," He says returning to his letter.
"How did you know that?" I ask looking up from my hands.
"Sorry, I'm talkative when I'm drunk," John responds. We sit in silence for awhile.
"Well, it was nice to meet you Alexander but I have to get to work," I say as I hug Lafayette and John then I make my way to the clinic.
