We sit in silence for a few minutes, sipping our teas until we finally finish them.

The silence is refreshing, mind clearing. Sometimes not saying anything at all is better than saying something you don't mean. So I'm thankful for these minutes of peace and silence. Especially now me and Harry are on okay terms.

It's going to take a lot to repair the damages in our thing we have. But it's nothing we can't work through.

He's taking me out tonight, so hopefully that all goes well and smoothly.

I need a break from him for a bit, I need to think about things in a place that isn't tainted by his presence.

"I think I'm gonna go now." I tell him, standing up from the table and placing my empty cup next to the sink.

He nods, putting his cup next to mine and reaching his hands into his pockets- pulling out his car keys.

"I'll drive you." He says walking towards the door.

"No thank you, I'll walk. See you later Harry." I say quietly exiting his house and walking down the road.

Strength, who knew I had some? I actually just turned down a lift home from him.

I know it's quite a long walk, but I need some fresh air. I don't think getting in a compact space with him is a good idea for me.

I'm still recovering from last night, not to mention my little break down this morning. It all seems so surreal now.

I finally reach my house and unlock my door.

I gulp, stepping into the kitchen.

My mum and her nurse Lucy are both in there..

Once my presence is acknowledged in the room, they snap their heads around and stare at me.

"Darling! Where've you been?" My mum exclaims, slowly pulling her frail body out from the chair and walking towards me.

I hate watching her struggle, her supple frame hobbling towards me.

When her body is near enough to mine, her thin arms are thrown around my neck and she pulls me close to her brittle body.

Her embrace is comforting, really comforting.

"Sorry, I went out with some friends then stayed round Evie's. Sorry I didn't call." I over-apologise and my mum withdraws her body from mine. A look of sadness and disappointment evident in her withered face.

"That's funny cause I already called Evie's mother, she said she didn't know where you were." She shakes her head and backs away from me.

I'm lost for words, my heart beats with shame and I cringe.

"I...I...Sorry mum. I don't know what to say." I admit, sighing.

"Don't say anything then. I just hope you know what you're doing." She says, her expression unreadable.

I nod quickly and escape the situation as quickly as I can.

I flee upstairs and shut my bedroom door. Lying down on bed and catching up on some much needed sleep.

When I awake, it's 6pm. I've had five hours sleep and feel more rested than I did before.

I reach for my phone, I have a text.

*7pm, H. x* it reads and I smile.

I have an hour to get ready.

I save Harry's number to my phone again and jump out of bed.
