I watch in ore as Ryder guides the machine over Harry's upper abs.

A small quick needle jabbing in and out of Harry, leaving a small blackish blue line behind as it follows the butterfly design mapped out on him.

It amazes me as Harry seems so unaffected by it, oblivious almost.

Me and Harry made a lot of eye contact during the few hours we were there for. It didn't feel all that awkward though because I know he was just trying to concentrate on something other than the pain. It flatters me that he chose me above all the cool intricate tattoo designs printed on the wall in here!

I didn't leave Harry's side throughout the whole 3 hours, at one point I was going to go and get some water but Harry asked me to stay, so that's what I did.

Ryder is now applying a see through cellophane type dressing to the fresh tattoo.

"So why did you choose a butterfly, if you don't mind me asking?" Ryder says, he seems very well spoken. You wouldn't expect that just by looking at him.

"Just did." Harry answers bluntly, I wonder if there is a meaning?

"It's quite feminine, is it for a special someone?" Ryder looks at me and I go red, nervous for Harry's answer.

"Just because it's a butterfly, doesn't mean it's for someone. Okay, this is the shit I chose and I don't need you telling me the gender of the tattoo, yeah?" Harry speaks calmly but his words make my heart pound. I wish he could have just kept his mouth shut, paid him and left.

"Woah mate I'm sorry. The tat suits you. it's just not something me personally would have gotten." Ryder raises his hands in defence.

I take a deep breath, i don't like where this is heading...

"Good thing I don't care what anyone thinks then. Isn't it?" Harry smiles bitterly.

He asked me for my opinion on the tattoo, and asked if I thought it was too girly. So that's not strictly true, but maybe that means I'm not just categorised as 'anyone' to him. Maybe I'm 'someone'.

My heart pounds heavily in my chest and I have to fight back a smug smile.

"Look man, I wasn't trying to start anything. Sorry." Ryder looks rather embarrassed and I try not to giggle.

Harry gives me a knowing glance and nods in forgiveness at Ryder. I smile at harry to show my appreciation for not fighting with this guy right here.

Harry slips his shirt back on and signals me to follow him out of the room.

In the main shop bit, there are lots of different selections of piercings and when we reach the belly jewels I can sense what's coming.

"You never told me you had your belly done?" Harry smirks at me and then looks at the case full of various belly decor.

"It never really came up in conversation." I shrug.

"Why don't you buy a new thingy for it?" He smiles at me and skims over the many selections.

I look at many different ones until one catches my eye.

The bar is plane silver and the bulbs are both a pale pink crystal. However, there is a very small dangly silver butterfly hanging from it.

I instantly fall in love with it.

"You want it?" Harry asks lowly, reading my mind once again. I nod slowly and he opens the class cabinet and takes it out.

I dive my hand into the pocket of my jeans to retrieve my debit card but Harry stops me.

"I got this." He says, pulling out his own card.
I shake my head, "No Harry I can't let you pay."
