"No, sir. No. I'm not inlove with your daughter." I seriously said.

I feel dirty. I can't believe I lied.

"Are you sure?" He asked.

No sir, I'm not.

"I'm sure, sir." I smiled.

"Alright, then I should go down and see what my daughter's doing." He said as he tapped my back and walked down.

What am I doing up here in the corridor where I should be down there, dancing with my friends?

To admit it, I suck at dancing!

Singing is the only thing I'm good at.

Jason and Belle are dancing crazy as the song 'Take Your Shirt Off' by T-Pain came on.

I was laughing at them but I can't seem to find Alyanna.

Logan was talking to Shannon, Andrea and Patricia as they sat on the table in the right corner.

I was looking at the dance floor... until I turned around, looking dumbfounded.

"Looking for me?" Alyanna said as she smiled.

I love that smile.

"Why would I look for you?" I said sarcastically.

"Would you be nice on my birthday?" She said as she crossed her arms.

"Why should I? Were you nice to me? You always kick my leg!" I said angrily.

She rolled her eyes. "Why aren't you dancing, Charlie?" She asked.

"Because I don't want too." I obviously said as I stare into her eyes.

"What a chicken!" She mumbled.

"What did you say to me?" I moved closer to her.

"I said maybe, you need to clean your ears so you can hear better." She whispered.

"Are you teasing me?" I smirked.

"I don't know. Let's dance!" She started to grabbed my arm.

A song started to play.

It's a slow-dance song.

"I don't do slow dance." I said.

She didn't say anything as she suddenly yanked my arm as we walked down to the dance floor.

Alyanna's POV

We were at the dance floor as people starting dancing around us.

"Just dance with Logan." Charlie whined.

"C'mon! Just give this dance on my birthday." I said.

He sigh. "Fine, one dance!"

He moved closer to me, chest to chest as he held my hand and I put my left hand on his shoulder and he placed his right hand on the side of my hip as we sway.

"This is fun." I said.

"No, it's not. You're the only one who's having fun here." He said mockingly.

I hate him. He can't even be nice on my birthday!

"Please be nice to me." I begged.

"No, I wanna get payed for that." He smiled.

"Goldigger." I mumbled.

"Crazy." He said angrily.

"What was that?" I asked rudely.

He sighed. "I'm sorry If I ever step on your foot." He said.

"You're doing great, Charlie. Don't think about it." I said.

"Oh and uh, thanks for making this clubhouse party happened." I added.

He was about to open his mouth when I cut him off.

"Logan told me. This was something.. different." I stare at his eyes.

"I'm glad you like it.." He quietly said.

"Listen, about the... crush thing--" I cut him off again.

"Can we not talk about that?" I asked him.

"Uh, yeah sure." He said as he looked down.

I ran my fingers to his hair as he looked into my eyes. "I'm sorry."

"It's alright. I totally get it." He smiled.

But it looks fake.

"Just friends, are you okay with that?" I asked politely.

He nodded.

As the song ended, we pulled away and Charlie suddenly walked out.

I feel bad again.

What's so wrong with telling the truth? Or was it just a lie?

I'm so hungry.

I went to the buffet table as I took a cupcake and lick the icing on the top like a swirl.

I suddenly saw Jason, standing beside me.

"Is it good?" He asked as he looked at the cupcake I'm holding.

"Yeah." I smiled.

"How's the birthday girl?" He asked.

"Good, I guess." I said.

"Good? That doesn't sound good to me." He said as I gently bump his shoulder.

"I think Charlie's upset with me." I quietly said.

"What did you do? Did you kick him? Punch him? Gave him a wedgie?--"

I cut him off. "No!" I softly yelled as I rolled my eyes.

"Then what did you do?" He asked as he took a cookie from the plate.

"I told him that we should.. just stay friends. Was that alittle harsh?" I said as I looked around.

"I don't think so. But for him, I don't know. He really likes you. You can't just expect him to throw his feelings away from you that easily..." He said as he took a bite of his cookie.

Wait, Jaz knows?

"You know?" I looked surprised.

"He told me at the party." He said.

"Oh."

"Love is crazy, isn't it?" I added.

"I guess." He said.

Then I saw Charlie went to the DJ as he talks to him.

Then the DJ started to speak.

"Okay! I'm gonna give the stage to my homie, Charlie Liverwood!!"

The people applauded as me and Jason wondered what's he gonna do.
