Chapter 61: The Fair.

Logan's POV

I'm using my girlfriend's car and we're on our way to Charlie's house.

My girlfriend is sitting at the passenger's seat.

Everything is so quiet.

As I glanced at my girlfriend, she looked worried, scared and nervous at the same time.

"What's wrong?" I touched her hand with my right hand.

"Huh?" She looked at me.

"You looked scared, what's wrong?" I asked worriedly.

"Scared? I'm not scared. I'm happy that you're here, babe." She smiled at me.

I nodded as I pay attention to the road.

As I saw Charlie's house, I parked the car near the sidewalk.

"Let's go.." I said as I got out of my car.

Charlie's POV

What am I gonna do? Alyanna's gonna be so mad at me. But Logan's my bestfriend, I can't just bail on him.

I heard a knock on the door.

"Oh no.." I quietly said.

I slowly walk towards the door as I gently opened it.

"Hey, buddy!" Logan said as he suddenly hugged me.

I hugged him back as I looked at Alyanna. She looks worried.

I think we both are.

We pulled back as I smiled.

"Come in, you guys.."

"You mean let's go, right?" He said.

Then I remembered..

"Oh yeah. Let's go.." I walked outside as I closed the door behind me.

Logan was at the middle of me and Alyanna.

"You know what, I think we should take a selfie." Logan suggested.

"What?" I said.

"Yeah, what do you think, babe?" He asked Alyanna.

She nodded as Logan took his phone out.

"Charlie, you hold my phone." Logan said as I gently grabbed his phone.

"Ready? 1... 2... 3..." I said as I suddenly captured it.

As I looked at the picture, Alyanna was definitely faking her smile. Logan put her arm around her, which I didn't hate.

Wait, why do I hate it? What's happening to me?!

I just smile, showing my beautiful white teeth.

I gave Logan his phone as I looked at Alyanna.

She won't even look at me.

"Look, I put it as my screensaver.." Logan showed us his screensaver, which is our selfie together.

"It's nice, babe.." Alyanna smiled.

Babe? Reminds me of last night.

"We should go, I bet many people are already there.." I said.

"Right. Let's go.." Logan said as we followed him to the car.

Now, we're in the car... being quiet... which is something I hate...

I was sitting at the backseat and Alyanna on the passenger's as Logan drives.

"So Charlie, thanks for taking care of my girl last night.." Logan suddenly said.

Wait, how does he know that? Did Alyanna told him what happened? Great, I'm very clueless right now..

"What do you mean?" I asked.

"You know, the time that she got drunk.." He started to take a turn as I looked straight.

"Anytime, pal." I smiled.

"So what have you been up to lately? Have you found a girl yet?" Logan asked me.

"I don't know if I found one but she probably won't like me back." I suddenly leaned forward as I secretly looked at Alyanna.

She looked worried... again.

"Why not? Because you're a bad boy?" He asked.

"Probably.." I said.

Minutes later, we finally arrived at the fair..

We slid out of the car as I saw Alyanna smiled.

"Come on, babe!" Logan suddenly pulled Alyanna inside the carnival.

Now, I'm in the fair with my friends.

Well, I don't know about Alyanna. I think she's mad at me after what happened earlier. She's not talking to me, Logan is but she isn't.

I feel like I'm invisible to her. I--

I got interrupted when Logan bump me slightly.

"Did you see that?" Logan said as he points to the balloons that got darted.

"Nice." I said with thumbs up.

Of course, every winner has its own price.

On the left side of the stand, there's keychains, small stuff animals and mugs.

On the right side, there's the big stuff animals. You know like a teddy bear...

Then Logan picked the big stuff animal. It was cute purple elephant.

The guy gave Logan the stuff animal as he gave it to Alyanna, which the result to that made her hugged him tight!

Why are they doing this in public?!

"Guys, stop that! It's gross and we're in public." I said as I made my point.

"You're just jealous that you won't find a girl like her." Logan said as he smiled.

I looked at Alyanna but she wasn't looking at me.

"I will. You wait, man." I seriously said.

"Just go out with Sam again.." Logan suggested.

"I already did once, that's it." I looked around.

Alyanna's POV

"Lets go to the Ferris Wheel." I said so we can change the topic and I pointed at the big round ferris wheel.

"Yeah." My boyfriend mumbled.

"What's wrong, babe?" I asked worriedly.

"I'm scared of heights." He quietly said as he looked down.

I lift his chin up and pinch his left cheek. "You're so cute! I'll stay here with you then."

"Nah, go with Charlie. I'll be fine here." He whispered in my ear

"I can't.." I said.

"I thought you guys are friends now?" He said as he made a confused look.

"We are.. I'm just worried about you here... alone." I said sadly.

He touched my face. "I'll be fine, don't worry about me, alright?"

"Are you sure about that?" I asked.

"Yes. Go and have fun, babe." He said as he pushed me to Charlie.

"Take care of her, man." He added as he put his hand on Charlie's shoulder.

"I will.." He said.

My boyfriend smiled at us as he walked towards the bench.
