Chapter 18: A School Play..

I walked to class and sat on my chair. But what got me curiously is I saw Charlie sat at the back of the classroom. In English class, he usually sat beside me to annoy me and such. Was their a new seating arrangement I should know about?

I looked to my right as my new seatmate is Jason.

"Hey Jaz, what's with the new seating arrangement?" I asked curiously.

"What new seating arrangement? Nothing change when you absent, Yana. It's still the same." He said.

"Really?" I said.

"Yeah, why would asked that?" He ask.

"Well, Charlie's sitting at the back. I just got curious." I said.

"Well, maybe he asked Ms. Rodriguez to transfer a sit there." He guessed.

"Oh." I said sadly.

"Why? Do you miss him?!" He said.

"What? Who? Charlie?! No way!!" I said angerily.

"Why are you angry?" He shaked.

"Sorry, its your fault anyway." I stuck my tounge out.

"Oh really?" He smirked.

"You just made my day worst, Jaz." I sighed.

"Just tell me if you miss him, I'll keep it a secret." He said.

I was about to open my mouth when Ms. Rodriguez came in our class.

"Alright class, please take your seats." Ms. Rodriguez said.

Other of my classmates sat on their chairs and remain silent.

"Well, you all know the school play is coming up. I decided instead of a horror story, lets make it a romantic story. Love and Trial, Bumps on the roads..." Ms Rodriguez said with a little passion.

I love romantic stories but I don't wanna act them. I think its kinda weird. Just you, being all sweet and move like this and that. Its weird for me. That's why I don't like the theater.

"So what story are we gonna present in the play, Ms. Rodriguez?" Nash, one of my classmates said.

"Guess what it is?" Ms. Rodriguez said.

Then all of us wildly guess.. I actually have no idea what kind of love story is she trying to make out for us.

"Scream 4!" Bryan, one of my classmates, yelled.

With that answer, all of my classmates laughed at him, including Ms. Rodriguez.

"No, Bryan." Ms. Rodriguez said seriously.

"Titanic?" Jason said.

"Good guess but no." Ms. Rodriguez said.

"What about Spiderman?" Bryan said.

Okay, he's out of his mind!

I chuckled when Bryan said Spiderman.

"Letters To Juliet?" Belle said as she smile.

"Close." Ms. Rodriguez said.

Then someone said "Romeo And Juliet?"

"Correct, Charlie."

With that last word, It made me leaned over my shoulder and saw Charlie, looking straight and serious.

"We're going to play William Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet! And since you got the correct answer Charlie, you're going to play the role of Romeo." Ms. Rodriguez added.

"Whatever." I heard him mumbled.

He looks pissed.

Is it my fault why he's being a jerk right now? Why do you have to be so mean, Yana?! Now, I feel really bad and I don't even know why..

"Ms. Lightning!" Ms. Rodriguez shouted as It made me looked up to her.

"Yes, ma'am?" I said nervously.

"Since you're too busy looking at other people, I will give you the role as Juliet." She said seriously, which made my eyes widden.

"But I don't wanna play that part." I said as I stand up.

"Well, I am your teacher and as your teacher, you do as I say.." She looked serious.

I slowly sat down as I sighed.

Then I heard someone said.

"Pride, pride, pride."

I turned my back as I saw Charlie smirked. It was an evil smirk!

Bell Rings

"That's all. You may now take your recess." Ms. Rodriguez said as she sat on her chair and write something in her notebook.

I need to get replaced on my position as Juliet! I don't wanna be partner with a weirdo! I might as well be with Logan than with Charlie. I do feel sorry for the guy but now, Its time to get nasty!
