Crazy Love (On-Edit)

Chapter 25: Nice Save.

"Now do you have your partners? If you don't do this, you will lose 20 points."

WHAT?! 20 POINTS?! I would do anything to get that 20 points! Why wasn't I born with confidence?! I hate myself.

"Now, I have here in my hands, your worksheets." She holds the paper.

"You have to answer them with your partner. Please, I want honest answers."

Then she passed the papers around.

As my classmates passed the papers around, Ms. Rodriguez noticed me in the back.

Oh great, I feel like she's gonna say something bad to me..

"Ms. Lightning?" She shouted.

And here it comes..

I stepped forward. "Yes, ma'am?"

"Where's your partner?" She asked curiously.

"I.... don't... have one, ma'am." I said as I looked down.

"Why? What happened?" She asked.

"Well, everybody's taken so.. I'm still single."

The class laughed as I didn't get why.

"Crazy.." I mumbled.

"Well, who doesn't have a partner yet?" Ms. Rodriguez asked the class.

I really wished I have a partner even if I don't know them.

Then later on, I saw Bryan raised his hand.

"Finally!" I sigh.

"Ma'am, can I use the bathroom?" He asked.

"Yes, hurry back." My teacher said as Bryan ran out.

"Anyone else who doesn't have any partner?" My teacher added.

"I don't have one."

With that voice so familiar, I knew it was Charlie..

"Okay. Charlie, please partner with Ms. Lightning.." Ms. Rodriguez said as she gestures Charlie to me.

Then Charlie walked towards me.

"Thank you for being my partner, Charlie." I said as I looked at him.

But he just ignore me. I didn't realized that he was this mad at me. I don't blame him.

"Okay now, go seat on your seats. And remain silent when you're doing your worksheet." My teacher as she sat on her desk.

"Hey Charlie, I think this is gonna be fun!" I said excitingly.

"Fun? Its a nightmare! Who wants to work with a nerd?" He said sarcastically as he walked towards the chair near the backdoor.

Oh great, he's not a mute!

I walked as I sat on the left side and he, on the right side of the chair.

"So let me see your worksheet." I said.

"Why should I give it to you?" He said angerily.

"We're partners. I need to know what's in the paper, Charlie." I said as I started to reach it.

"You're not supposed to be my partner, you know." He said.

"Then why did you volunteer?" I asked rudely.

"Like I said, pity on your enemy.." He smirked.

I scoffs. "So you pity me?" I said.

"I just said that. What? You're deaf too?" He said sarcastically.

"Oh, shut up, Charlie."

"Okay, I won't talk to you." He said as he suddenly handed me the worksheet and looked the other way.

"Pride, pride, pride.." I said as I want to get his attention but failed.

So this is what I get? He's not gonna help me here?!
