Chapter 40: The Play!

Alyanna's POV

"If I walk, I'll be alot faster you know." I said sarcastically to my Dad.

"Stop whining! Good thing, I can drive." He rolled his eyes.

"Yeah, or else I'll be selling this car!" I said teasingly.

Then we both got out of the car and went inside.

We went our seperate ways as my Dad went to take a seat while I went backstage in the theater.

When I went in the backstage, I hid behind the curtains as I heard them talking randomly and babbling about things..

"Where is my Juliet?!" Ms. Rodriguez said.

I think she's freaking out.

"I need her. How would Romeo find love if he didn't saw Juliet?"

With that familiar voice, I knew it was Charlie.

He's so corny..

"We only have 10 seconds til the play starts!" Ms. Rodriguez yelled at the students who were freaking out.

"Is she even gonna make it?" Logan said.

He looks really worried. He sat on a chair and ran his fingers to his hair.

As I was enjoying myself watching them freak, I jumped out from the curtains.

"Who said Juliet can't make it?" I said teasingly.

Then they all started hugging me.

Wow! I was being adored by some people I barely know!

"Can't breathe guys!" I said as they pulled back. Well, most of them.

"You made it!" Shay said as she pulled back.

"Yeah, I wouldn't miss it." I said as I smiled.

Did I just say that?!

"We were worried sick that we thought you weren't gonna show up." Drea said worriedly.

"Well, I'm here now!" I whined.

"Yeah, and I'm happy that you are." Charlie suddenly walked to me.

"I'm gonna go to Logan for a while." I said as I walked towards him.

"I thought you weren't gonna come." Logan said.

"Well if I didn't, I might get an F on this play.." I said as we chuckled.

"Hmm, I wanna do it.."

"What do you mean?" I asked.

He touched my face as he was starting to leaned closer to my face. I closed my eyes.

"EVERYBODY IN POSITION!!" Ms. Rodriguez yelled as I looked at her.

Great, she just ruined something I've been waiting for..

"Are you mad?" Logan asked.

"Nope, next time right?" I pinch his cheek as I watched Charlie and Jason on stage.

We immediately got in position and then the propsmens, yanked the curtains to reveal the characters standing on stage.

It was Charlie's and Jason's scene.

As I looked at the audience, I saw my Dad and... I even saw Charlie's Mom. But where is his Dad? Then Charlie started to speak as he looks at the audience.

"Why then, O brawling love. O loving hate! O anything of nothing first create? Heavy lightness, serious vanity.. Misshapen chaos of well-seeming forms.."
