ROSE: My mind occasionally went to what happened to the girl. How a blade seemingly out of nowhere buried itself so deep in her neck the hilt was practically in.I wanted the memory of those monsters to stop.
I wished it'd stop but it only seemed to be getting worse. I remained in a state of shock for a while as I repeatedly looked everywhere expecting anything.
After a while, though I cooled down and began to relax a bit but I knew deep down those memories would remain with me forever. First it was the creepy smiling lady and now an innocent person was killed right before me.
Maybe I really was cursed.
I looked at Victoria.
I almost forgot!
I still couldn't believe what I saw earlier and what was even more unbelievable was how Victoria simply discarded my shock at seeing her bring an actual butterfly to life!
I saw the glowing insect flap around for a while, land on her arm then vanish in a cloud of twinkling lights.
I was stunned, I didn't move and Victoria ignored me as if I wasn't even there so I decided not to ask and just pretend I was hallucinating.
What was also up with locking me in the car, did they think it was funny?
Though recent events made thinking about Vicky's parlor tricks futile. She actually seemed to care about me earlier, should I have told her of the two men in that shop and how they tried to kill me.
Maybe she already knows!
After a long awkward ride, the car finally stopped next to what looked like a bar, ''Is this the place?'' Victoria asked the driver who nodded.
I never really got a good look at the driver, his back was always facing me, he never once spoke or turned back.
''Are we at Moonsville?'' I asked looking out the window. I could only see the bar in the middle of nowhere, there was literally nothing else present, the bar looked out of place in such a secluded area.
Victoria scoffed at me and responded, ''No I'm going to meet someone, make sure you stay put'' with that she left hurriedly.
I didn't know why she was so rude, we barely knew each other and already she had a perception of me.
She reminded me of Judy a bit but with more sass, I didn't put on the uniform specifically because of her attitude.
I frowned as she walked calmly into the bar, who did she think she was?
I glanced at the driver but he didn't look back once, he didn't even move in the slightest.
''Um hello?'' I called, the driver didn't reply, was he as rude as that girl?
''Are we getting close to Moonsville?'' still no answer.
I sighed in frustration and sat back for a while.
Thirty minutes passed but there was still no Victoria.
I glanced at the bar that she had gone into, there seemed to be people inside, I could hear music and chattering. It actually seemed to be a lot of voices were there that many people in such a cramped up building.
I looked at the motionless driver and slowly opened the door expecting the driver to protest but he didn't say a word, he didn't even flinch-weird.
I finally got a good look, the man had looked big, if anything, I think he was fat.
He looked Asian, he had a small nose and mouth though, ditto the eyes.
I got out of the car and looked back expecting to see the man open his door but no, the door remained shut.
I shrugged, ''Whatever'' I muttered as I made my way towards the bar, Victoria was basically my age mate and she was treating me like some child.
I swear with everything that's happened, nothing else should surprise me.
I opened the bar door and immediately a gust of cold wind blew and suddenly I was looking at a huge casino!
I spoke too soon.
What...the...frap!
