ALLAN: I could smell the water, wet wood, the air felt so much different but relaxing, "Wow" I whispered, "Poppy you lucky jerk"The boat cruised down the stream of river calmly, I looked at the forest trees, this was my first time away from the city.
Despite circumstances, I was glad to have seen the outside world and I couldn't help but smile a little. I suddenly felt famished and opened one of the supplies and found several days' worth of food.
Apple juice, mango juice, meat stored in jars, etc. "Nice" I grinned but then felt something.
The itch began to bother me, it started out as an itch then developed to pain. I looked at the source and gasped, my arm had purplish veins all around.
Poison, he poisoned the arrowhead!
I removed the bandage and gasped as the veins began extending slowly, "Oh my..." I said in shock.
Quickly I tied the bandage tightly above the sore to prevent it from spreading but the vein kept moving upwards.
"Oh no no no"
The pain was getting worse every second until I could barely move my arm. I used my other hand to quickly search through the supplies.
There had to be something good that could get me out of this predicament.
"Come on" I whispered as I felt the pain signals in my brain, if I didn't do something fast, I'd be dead soon.
'Poisons' had been taught to us several times, suffice to say, I rarely paid attention because it was incredibly boring.
You just had to sleep during that class right, Allan.
Now my head ached unbearably, I massaged it and kept looking, time was running out.
"Breathe Allan, Breathe, there's got to be a cure"
I knew I didn't pack anything like that in my bag but I prayed that Hassan had them packed in the crates.
There was food supplies, a pile of books and several containers with symbols on them, definitely one had to be an antidote.
"Where is it?" I muttered in frustration, I opened a container, inside was a pendant, "Not this"
I opened the next one, a much longer container, inside was a golden bracelet, "No no"Come on Meroe, Ava was fond of that stuff, think. What did she say about poisons?
I rummaged through faster, not bothering to be gentle, "Where is it, where is it?"
The next container had Glow-stones, the next had a dagger, the next had a time-lamp, "You've got to be kidding me Hassan" I hissed.
My eye caught sight of the purple veins spreading like ink spilled in water, within a minute my entire body was covered including my other arm.
The pain by now was excruciating as I screamed in agony, I knew I had to keep looking but my body reflexes seemed to prevent movement.
I couldn't do anything but shake violently as I felt my brain explode, sweat fell uncontrollably and I felt my body temperature rise up.
Breathing became hard as I felt my voice go. All I could see was purple, the images of trees, rocks were slowly fading, merging with the purple.
