FRANK: "Really buddy, I'm not the one to forget things like that, I'm sorry I mentioned that." Jack went on.

I forced a smile, ''It's nothing'' I suddenly felt the urge to leave. Things were too awkward and I didn't know what else to say.

Jack noticed what he had done but played along and smiled though it only made things more awkward.

We both knew how things got if I got annoyed or irritated.

I glanced at my watch, ''Wow it's five already?'' I proceeded to get up, ''I've got to go or the old man would be mad'' I left the money on the table.

''You coming?'' I asked Jack but he shook his head as he eyed a girl not far away and grinned wolfishly.

"Think she's single?"

Looking at the blonde haired girl as she delicately picked her glass of wine I shook my head "Probably not."

"That's all the better." He stood up and combed his hair "How am I looking?"

"Like a million dollar idiot."

"As long as a million dollar is involved I'm cool. I'll text you later tonight when we're in bed."

"You and I?"

"No dumbass me and her!"

"Wow, your confidence is staggering." I smiled as the awkwardness before evaporated.

"It's all about the accent Frank. Chicks dig that." With that, Jack patted my shoulder and strolled over to the lady.

I'd have honestly loved to see this but that'd make me late. Without a second further, I left the restaurant and began heading towards Uncle Drake.

It looked like it'd rain any time but surprisingly it didn't as time passed.

The neighborhood has changed a lot in two years.

Maybe I should've taken the bus but I had always preferred walking for some reason. Especially since I had a particular path I always took which always led me to a hospital nearby.

Saint Claire's.

I stopped before the large towering building, it was impressive that the place had been constructed in just a month.

It had about 67 floors, some of the best medical equipment money could buy and a dedicated working staff.

The hospital was set up just before I finished grade 6. Drake had always come here ever since that incident. He never smiled in the hospital, he was always forlorn whenever we came here.

Maybe it was because a hospital was a place for trying to fight death but I knew he was angry at me for what I did, something I could never get rid of.

No matter how good a hospital looked it'd always be a place where one would dread when his or her loved one would end up here.

Sometimes I wished there was no need for hospitals.

Though this town needed this hospital, especially since people all over were getting hurt.

It sounded natural at first but more bizarre reports came on the news, a man attacked by his own dog or lightning lighting up a house full of people.

These events increased the year I was supposed to move to New York with Jack.

I may sound like a bad guy but those weren't the reasons I always passed in front of this multi-million dollar company.

It was because of an incident involving me and a boy my age that'd never walk again. I took a deep breath and passed the main entrance.
