VINCENT: What just happened?

The road was nowhere in sight, rather all that we were seeing were trees and leaves and dew falling.

"Classic Sar. Always cautious." Boris said as he calmly fixed his tie.

"Boris. Where are we?"

He laughed "We're lost."

"What?"

"Can you see webbings around sir?"

What did he mean? Nothing out of the ordinary is in the car...same silver cross hanging, same glove compartment with the Peville symbol.

I looked around me "What?"

"Not inside the car sir though it'll be a bit hard to see."

Was he insane, with our eyesight, it would've no problem but how was that going to solve our current predicament?

Still, I looked outside and soon enough I saw them, these weren't ordinary webs.

They were slightly bigger than any normal spider's webs and they glowed blue, streaks of blue passed on the webs all over as if a vein.

"Those are Arachne webs," I concluded.

"As expected of your skills, yes they are."

"The 'webs of madness' ancient civilization called it. An ability only female Arachne had, webs of magic that could draw out their victims and trap them in a state of madness."

"Very good sir."

So that explained how we ended up here, those webs were known to lure people into places, is that how we ended up here without knowing?

"It's been a while since I've heard of female Arachne," I admitted.

"Yes. After the Night War, there were even fewer."

It was, in all honesty, beautiful, the blue webs connected everywhere around us, crisscrossing each other from the soil to the leaves of the trees.

Though I knew if either of us took one step out of the car we'd undoubtedly succumb to madness and peril.

Who'd resort to such extremes?

"Who?" I started.

"You buffoons, stupid time wasting blood sucking leeches!" The door next to me opened and a man climbed in, he was no taller than my waist.

He was dressed in a grey robe that fell to his feet and wore very pointed green shoes.

"Do you know what you've caused me, my research into the Blue Garden, my food waiting in the oven, my sleep!"

His body was wide, with a seriously big stomach that proudly said that he was a lover of food. His hair and beard brushed the ground and his nose was the only defining feature visible.
