FRANK: Someone was moving above us, his hands and legs were moving fast on the ceiling as all around him bullets ricocheted.
''Move!'' Sam shouted and Theo hoisted me up, ''Let's go!'' he said sternly and pulled me towards the door.
I didn't attempt to stop, I just knew the stranger was bad news.
Just as we reached the entrance, Sam jumped out of the way and Theo shoved me again to the side and slammed the door-we were still inside!
I looked at three black arrows firmly rooted at the door where we were seconds ago, ''That was close'' Theo said as he turned back.
I stood up and looked at our pursuer and before we stood a man, rather he looked like one.
The attacker had in his hand a black bow, it didn't look like it was made of wood but something glass-like.
He wore a black armor looking suit, almost as if he was in the medieval age. I looked at his face and slowly opened my mouth.
His grey hair fell on both sides to his chest area, his eyes were wide and glossy black as if they were huge black marbles. He also had the most outrageous set of long ears I had ever seen but that wasn't even the worst of it.
''He has a tail'' I muttered and Theo nodded responding simply, ''I reacted the same way when I saw an elf''
Immediately the attacker fired another round at us with such speed that I didn't question how he was that agile, I didn't have to, I just had to survive.
Sounds of arrows flying filled my ears as I dove to the right.
Theo swung his staff at the stranger and the ceiling crashed down, ''Head for the kitchen Frank!'' he shouted: "and don't freeze!"
I honestly had to convince myself that the man wasn't saying that because he was hungry but I didn't object as I ran.
I reached the kitchen, ''Theo!'' I called, unsure of what was expected but then my eyes narrowly missed another arrow.
I only had a second to tilt my head as it impacted the decaying fridge, the arrow flew cleanly in, leaving a small gaping hole.
''Very good boy'' came the attacker's voice and I turned around to see the elf-guy walk calmly towards me, ''Leon told me that you'd adapt to your environment fast''
I walked slowly back.
I had a feeling I could not outrun him so I did what I could best think of.
''Who is Leon?'' I asked as I forced myself not to be distracted by the black mirror-like eyes that stared me down.
I could hear hissing, the elf was intensely threatening as he approached me with ease.
The elf grinned and began gently moving his long whitish fingers.
I watched slowly as the arrow that was in the fridge flew out of the fridge and hover around his hand.
Okay.
''Leon sent me...but not to kill you''
I could've probably scoffed given different circumstances but I dared not, ''You sure have a different view on not killing''
I took another three steps back and he followed.
I spotted the tail again swishing back and forth, ''I only wanted to test your powers and from what I've seen...you are yet to develop them''
What powers?
"The marks are changing aren't they, evolving, the circuits are connecting."
"Circuits."
