AT THOMIS-HERACLEION...

ALLAN:  In a flash my life was ending, by just one order given I was being exiled.
I watched as the Imperials invaded my room and picked up anything they deemed necessary for my trip and the rest they flew away.

By the time they were finished, my room was upside down. Everything was scattered, my books, my clothes, every object Hub and I had excavated and kept as reminders of our adventures.

I didn't say a word, I couldn't even if I wanted to, my fate was being decided, ''Take your time with what you are doing'' Joseph said in anger as he pushed an Imperial away.

I turned my head away from him, I refused to see the man who helped ruin my life.

'Allan...' he started but stopped as I suddenly looked him full in the eye with rage.  I had never felt this furious before, I didn't need to talk, my face was enough to covey the message.

Joseph looked down sadly, looked at me once more and nodded before he silently walked away.

Once I was sure that man was out of the house, I walked forward and began to scoop my treasures, an Imperial attempted to stop me but another stopped – clearly they weren't as soulless as I thought.

I picked everything I thought could be of use since I was going to be living somewhere strange I'd need to learn to protect myself in case.

I packed them all into a sack and with one more look round my room, I left without saying a word.

The citizens all crowded outside my house, all my friends, the royal ones and the ones who I befriended during my adventures including Haier and Poppy.

They all were silent but had pained look on their faces, I spotted Hub look at me in tears and I smiled reassuring him that I'd be okay...I lied.

The day that was supposed to be a day of celebration turned out to be the worst day of my life.

The ceremonial drums were played, it could be heard everywhere as I made my way through the market, everyone stood watching me.

The crowd was on opposite sides of where I was and there were murmurings, I kept moving ahead as I made sure not to look anyone in the eye. Behind me the Imperials followed, every single step I took seemed to echo.

I suddenly took a right turn, "That is not the way Allan Meroe!" an Imperial boomed but I ignored them as I walked on.

"Allan Meroe!" They called again.

I began to increase my pace, "He's running away!" came a voice from the crowd as they followed.

"Traitor!"

"Coward, the boy is abandoning his duty" more protests came but I ignored them all.

Running with all my might, I looked back to see the Imperials calmly following me, I knew they were giving me a head start.

In a minute, they'd rush me down in a blink of an eye, which meant I had about fifteen seconds to reach my destination.

"He's disobeying the Queen!" more voices yelled.

Soon enough I reached there and I stopped to take a breath. The millions of people with the royal guards reached me and immediately a hush followed.

I blocked out the onlookers and whispering in the background and looked intently at a large grey pillar surrounded by orchards.

Several hieroglyphics were encased in the block, all telling the stories of the person but the name was bigger:

ALIYAH MEROE

It was written in various languages but all the ones that meant name were bigger.

"Hello Mum," I said softly, "it's me, Allan"
