"There!" Nigel sighed and held a bullet up with the extractor. I sighed heavily and closed my eyes, resting my head back on the chair. "You'll be fine," Nigel laughed and patted my knee.
"Can't say the same for the chair," Allan laughed and pointed at the broken off right handle.
"Well," I looked down at the broken handle and shrugged.
"You might be sore tomorrow," Nigel said as he applied a bandage.
"It's alright," I nodded and he helped me stand.
"Are you alright?" Anna frowned.
"I'm fine," I laughed and hugged her. She squeezed me tight and I grunted. "Sorry," she released me quickly.
"We've got a lot to talk about," I pointed at Bobby and motioned for him to follow me.

"Did Elaine really kill your friend?" he asked.
I shook my head, "Stephen is alive. She DID stab him, but she ran off."
"Stabbed? That doesn't kill you guys either?" he frowned and sat up on the edge of his seat, "No knives, no guns," he laughed, "What DOES kill you guys?"
"I'm not sure you should know that," I smiled.
"Come on," he smiled through a frown, "You can trust me."
"Yeah," I laughed sarcastically and stood up. I stretched up, reaching my hands towards the ceiling.
He pointed at my stomach, "I'm sorry I shot you," he said softly.
I raised my shirt and slowly pulled away the gauze, "Forget it," I shrugged, "my body has."
"Amazing!" he gasped and stood up. He touched my stomach, "It's gone!"
I nodded, "It's nearly morning."
"Wow," he smiled and shook his head.
"Want to get some breakfast?" I shrugged.
He frowned, "Don't you guys hibernate during the day?"
"They do," I laughed, "Let me change my clothes."
"Yeah. Those are pretty bloody," he pointed at me.
"I'll be back," I ran off and up the stairs. I changed and ran back downstairs. I met Bobby at the front door. "What?" I smiled at his confused expression.
"You were LITERALLY gone three minutes," he laughed, then added soberly, "No one could get away from you."
I nodded, "I just need you to find her, Bobby. I'll do the rest."
"Damned if I don't believe you," he laughed and followed me to the car.

I watched her sleep. She was so beautiful. I loved her so much. The Vampire instinct to drink her blood, I had under my control. I smiled to myself. I was the Vampire Extraordinaire but I was still me. He was under my complete control. I was under control. She opened her eyes and smiled at me, "How long have you been watching me?"
"Hours," I whispered and her eyes widened. I laughed, "I can't help it."
Anna touched my cheek, "How do you feel?"
"I'm fine," I kissed her softly and slowly moved over her.
"Marc," she whispered near my ear, "We should be careful. You were hurt last night."
"I'm fine," I panted near her neck and I licked her skin.
"Stop growling at me," she laughed, but I sensed her nervousness.
"I'm sorry," I smiled and looked into her eyes, "Make love to me."
"What?" she raised her head and laughed.
I fell back on the bed and pulled her close. I closed my eyes, "Make love to me."
"Why me?" she giggled and touched my lips with her fingertip.
I kissed her finger, "I can control it better."
"Oh," she said and touched my lips again. I kissed her finger and playfully bit it. Her finger ran over my lip and I opened my mouth slightly. Her finger ran down one of my long fangs and then she touched my tongue. "You've changed so much. I'm not sure I can do this."
"Anna," I looked up at her, "I won't hurt you." She smiled and unshed tears danced in her eyes. "What is it?" I frowned and hugged her close to my chest.
"Your eyes are blue," she touched my cheek, "You have it under control; don't you?" I smiled and nodded. "Does Father know?" she shrugged and I shook my head again. "He'll be so proud of you," she kissed me gently. She looked down at my shirt and slowly unbuttoned the buttons. "What will you do with your power, Marc?" she asked and pushed the shirt off my shoulders.
"Nothing," I sat up slightly and let her pull away my shirt. I laid back in her bed and smiled, "I will do what the King asks of me."
"What if you don't agree with him?" she looked at my jean button.
"What are you hinting to?" I asked.
She opened my jeans and laughed, "Nothing!" she unzipped the zipper.
"Anna," I said firmly and caught her hand. She looked into my eyes, but remained quiet. "Annabelle," I frowned.
She sighed dramatically, "Alright!" I released her hand and she shrugged, then she looked away. "I mean, what if he wants you to do something that you don't want to do? You can't just say no; you know?"
"No," I said softly, "but what do you think he's going to ask me to do?" She bit her lips and refused to look at me. "Anna?" I jerked my body once, so she would look at me.
She rolled her eyes and swallowed hard. "What if he wants you to kill Michael?" she asked in a shakey voice, "You'd never be able to do that."
"I don't think Granddad would ask that of me," I smiled and surprised myself with my calmness.
"I hope not," she said softly, "I think Michael's execution will be the death of the Second House."
"That won't happen," I pulled her close and kissed her.
