"Rumor has it, there's a new kid that just enrolled"

The redhead stops midway from re-applying her red lipstick, confusion evident on her features.

"In the middle of the school year? That's...weird"

As she continues coating her plump lips with the lipstick, her best friend shrugs in agreement. Soon enough, the two girls are done with re-touching their make-up and ready to leave the ladies restroom.

Walking down the hall, they both make every head turn. Girls wanted to be them, while boys wanted them. It was safe to say that they were the hottest girls in Riverside high school.

Making their way towards their lockers, they're already used to being in the spotlight and so don't even blink at the attention they were receiving. It was a daily routine after all.

The redhead was gushing over her friend's new haircut, the one she got after dumping her ex boyfriend. You know, the whole makeover you get after a painful breakup? That was the one, and if possible she got even more hotter with her new short haircut.

They were both in the middle of gossiping over the brunette's ex boyfriend, when a blonde joins them and rests against the locker next to the redhead.

"The new kid is here and boy is he hot" the blonde, Jessica, gushed.

"You saw him already? "

"Well, no, but I can tell when a guy is hot from just their behind" she says as she twirls a strand of hair between her fingers.

"First off, creepy. Secondly... your lipstick is all over the place, Jess"

The brunette stifles a chuckle at Jessica's expression. The redhead, wasn't always a bitch, well atleast not this level of bitchy. But they both just couldn't stand Jessica, not a girl in Riverside high did really. All she did was steal people's boyfriends, that goes for both teams as well. And the brunette's boyfriend was one of those assholes.

Turning around, they both make a dramatic exit while the blonde is left behind to fume. She has always wanted to join their squad, to become more popular that is, but the two best friends were way smarter than to let a snake into their group.

"Goodmorning, class. Before we start, I'd like to introduce our new student. Dylan Adams, I hope you welcome him well to our school. Now please have a seat, Mr Adams"

Looking up, the redhead stops doodling in her notebook and meets eyes with a pool of chocolate brown ones. He wasn't bad looking and she found herself not being able to stop from giving him a quick once over.

"Can't believe I'm saying this, but Jess was right. He is cute!"

She hears her best friend whisper from beside her. Mr Stewart, the biology teacher is quickly jumping into the day's lesson. The guy with brown hair and matching coloured eyes, make his way and takes a seat at the very back of the class.

Despite the temptation, she keeps her gaze ahead and not once does she take a glance behind her.

"Okay, so for the rest of the school year, I need you guys to partner up with someone. You can choose or I'll just partner you up, whatever you want..."

Mr Stewart was really cool like that, probably the coolest teacher in the school and that was mainly why the students considered him their favourite teacher.
