"Your friend doesn't like me very much..."
It was the sound of her voice that brought him out of his daze. His blurry vision refocuses on his surroundings, the biology classroom, before moving his gaze to settle on the redhead sitting beside him.
"Blaze isn't really a people's person" he replies with a casual shrug, but regrets it when it causes pain to shoot up his entire body.
It had been two days of him resting in bed and it was just about the hardest thing he had to endure. He just never liked feeling weak or tied down. Pushing himself even harder when his body could no longer take it, was what he has always did. But Leona wasn't having it this time.
The amount of times Blaze rolled his eyes from the living room as he heard them bickering from Dylan's room, was just ridiculous. Instead, he'd just turn up the volume of the tv and try to tune them out.
"I noticed, but he wasn't who I meant..."
She looks over her shoulder and he follows her gaze, only to land on the brunette he had been fighting with for two straight days now. Her burning gaze that had been on the redhead, now settles on the brown haired boy beside her.
Her gaze only snaps from them, when her lab partner tells her something. Dylan didn't realise he was throwing daggers with his eyes at the guy sitting next to her, but the redhead did. So turning to focus again on the table and the frog on their table, she tries to ignore that annoying feeling in the very pit of her stomach.
Pulling her goggles back over her eyes, he finally lets his gaze leave the brunette behind and refocus his attention back on the redhead.
"What are we supposed to do now?" He asks, titling his head alittle in confusion as he studied the frog before him.
Sneaking a look at him from the corner of her eyes, she couldn't help but think of how cute he looked confused. But when his brown orbs finds her eyes, she quickly looks back down at the frog.
"This frog has thick pads on his thumbs, which is one external difference between the sexes. He's also relatively small, so he's a male..."
"Small, huh?"
Looking at him confused with a little cute crease between her eyebrows, her cheeks imidiatelly flame up on seeing the smirk on his face and understanding what exactly he meant. With a huff she turns back to the frog, mumbling something about 'boys', which he found cute.
Reading through the instructions their teacher handed them, she gulps alittle reading what they should be doing next.
"What is it?" He asks on seeing her shift uncomfortably in her stool.
"N-nothing...honestly I don't think I can do-"
"We're done, what's next, doc?"
Looking behind them, Leona had her hand held up high. The poor frog probably suffered until she was finally through with all the instructions. It was obvious she did all the 'dissecting' while her partner wrote down the observations. The boy looked like he could throw up any minute now.
"Uhh...nothing really, you're good for the rest of the class" the teacher trailed off, staring with slightly wide eyes at the frog on their table, or atleast what was left of it.
"Yeah...I can't really do that"
The redhead trailed off, nodding towards the table behind her, gesturing to what Leona did.
"It's a good thing I'm your partner then..."
Meeting his eyes again, she wished she could pinpoint why exactly she seemed to always get lost in his brown pools of eyes. There was just something so mesmerising about them.
