Anger coursed through her veins like a strong river rushing to smash the rocks in its way. Her hands balled up by her side as she felt helpless.
She didn't know where they took him. She felt betrayed that her own blood would do something like this. And most of all, she felt this hollow feeling echoing in the depth of her heart. And she knew she couldn't let anything harm him. She'd become that strong river to smash the strongest of rocks to save him.
And that was when his words from before he was taken away, came flooding inside her head. Washing clear her anger and letting her thoughts stop from jumbling into a mess of a storm.
"Because every time you find yourself stuck in the darkness, remember that you've got a heart that's so much stronger"
Her eyes were closed as those warm hazel eyes filled the space in her head. And when she reopened them they weren't the brown ones anymore, but rather blue ones. This time, unlike all the other times, they were a deeper colour of blue and not those icy cold ones.
And for the first time she felt in control of herself, her body, emotions and thoughts. She was in control of her demons and she knew there was only one person to thank for that.
So as her deep blue eyes gazed into the distance, a part of her memory unlocked. A part that was cold and dark, but now a small ray of light was seeping in. It was the part of her subconscious that has once found the enemies hideout.
She felt connected to this once cold and dark part of her, the crazy part that went off on a revenge journey, the one that killed and hurt without a second thought. But this time, that part wasn't an entirely different person from her, she was in control and they've become one.
Because without realising it, she's let the hazel eyed boy in and without either of them seeing it, he helped her somewhat slay her demons.
Her foot steps over the white piece of paper, the one that was now lying between the dead leaves, as she stepped forward in the direction where she knew he was.

It's been hours since he was gone to go get her. The sun was mere moments away from setting and there was still no sign of either the brunette nor the hazel eyed boy. Between all of them, the brown eyed boy was the most worried.
His legs have been bouncing as he sat on a chair, his head resting on his interwined hands as he stared at the clock on the wall. He couldn't sit still like the blonde has suggested anymore. Jumping up to his feet, he starts making his way towards the exit of the lab.
"You know you can't go out when they threatened that they'd be coming for you. What if it's a trap?"
Ivana jumps up from the seat she's taken on the chair and is making her way to stop him from leaving.
"I don't care, she could be in danger out there for all we know. I'm not waiting around when I know she's out there! We shouldn't have let James go alone to get her, that was just plain stupid"
He spats, but she doesn't budge from infront of him at the menacing look he was giving her.
"We need a plan, we can't just go out there without one. Not when it'll just make it easier for them to take you and get whatever it really is they want. Leona can protect both herself and James, you know that, we all do. So why don't you trust her?"
Her words cut something that's been buried deep inside him, he was never really able to trust anyone. It was the brunette that came close to him trusting and yet he never let her fully in either. And he wasn't sure why.
