The second her eyes landed on his limp body, it felt like her world had collapsed. Where there was light became shadows, the pain rushing in like waves on frigid sand. Though she begged him to wake up again, the connection was gone along with her best friend forever. And that was when she realised that she needed to be alone, for that her agony should be unleashed somewhere alone.
She felt in denial like all that's around her are merely an imagination made up by her own mind. And so she didn't even notice when she barged into a room. But with a glance around, she realised that she has found herself in the training room. Her eyes taking in all the weaponry around her, making her stomach twist and turn.
They shouldn't have come here, shouldn't have allowed him to come here. Because the second she agreed to walk into this, she should've known that the hazel eyed boy would definitely walk along.
She blamed herself for his death. He would've never walked into this world of darkness if it weren't for her. If she hadn't done it to follow the brown eyed boy. And now James had to pay the price of her decisions. The guilt was quickly eating up her insides to the point where she found it hard to even breathe, suffocating would be much less painful.
What she once treasured is now a memory. It's a strange thing to lose someone whom you once had, like a limb torn from your body without the chance to save it. The door that was once open and welcoming was locked and disinviting. And all she could do was scream her pain into sobs.
She's in so much agony, she barely takes notice of a pair of strong arms wrapping themselves around her. And despite him being the last person she would've ever seeked comfort in his arms, she leans into him with her head tucked beneath his chin. And her pain knocked hard against his heart, leaving the green eyed boy confused as to why her pain affected him so much when close to nothing ever affected him.
But despite himself, Parker found himself wrapping his arms around the petite shaking body of the redhead with the feeling of need to hide her away from the pain of the world, almost forgetting along the way the agony that his own world alone could bring her.

"He can't be dead...c-can't we just use your blood like we did with Leona and...bring him back?"
After walking back inside, Rhea found it hard to look at her best friend's lying limp body let alone form complete sentences without stammering over her words. Her arms were crossed over her chest in a defensive manner, her tears have already dried and she tried to push back all painful thoughts to clear her mind enough to think of what needed to be done.
Standing back feeling torn was Blaze. He wanted to hold Rhea and take away her pain, but his mind couldn't help but wander to the brunette. His best friend and only family left. He didn't know what has happened to her and couldn't even start to fathom what could've happened to her. The guilt he was feeling of leaving her alone was the one rooting him to his spot and preventing him from going to hold her. He was afraid if he were to touch her, she'd disappear again.
But he wasn't the only one feeling torn apart, crouching right before the brunette was the brown eyed boy. His eyes filled with so many emotions, each fighting the other for dominance in the storm that is his eyes. He feared touching her for that she looked so soulless and empty, so breakable, he was afraid she'd fall apart and shatter before he could even get the chance to hold her again.
Her eyes so lost and empty, it scared him. It was like the light that was shining in those wild brown eyes of hers were dimmed out. Forever lost and never to be found again.
