"Her freedom for yours...what's it gonna be?"

.

He found familiarity in the darkness that surrounded him. He didn't even try to escape it, he just sat there and embraced the darkness that had long ago consumed him.

If this was his fate, he wasn't going to run away. But he wasn't going down without a fight either.

"You know, you can't really say I didn't warn you. I did warn you before that you're going to be your own downfall, now haven't I? Thinking you could take us down all by yourself? "

Her mocking voice brought him back to reality, pulling him out of the darkness he found himself falling into. Venom laced the woman's voice, bringing back all the tragic memories that shaped him into who he is today.

"I thought you were dead"

Was the first thing he said on his eyes fluttering open. He was down on his knees on the hard concrete, chains wrapped tightly around his wrists and secured to the wall. His muscles were already flaring up in pain, but he swore he wouldn't as much as wince infront of her.

He wouldn't show anyone weakness. Because the second he lets his guard down, is the same second he loses.

"I thought so too. But apparently I'm still of use to him... "

She was still hidden in the shadows of the room, her voice seeming to be coming from everywhere.

"I'm still alive. I'm betting I'm still of use to him too?"

A smirk grew on his face on the words escaping his mouth, but there was no amusement behind his words.

"But you won't be for long"

That was when she finally emerged from the darkness. One glance at her face and he wanted to rip her apart, the hatred he held for the woman so strong it could tear down the ceiling over their heads. And he wouldn't mind really, so long as she was dead.

"Where is she?!" He spat, breaking his calm facade.

"Don't worry...she's somewhere you'll be joining soon"

Her smirk only grew wider as she let the words slip off her tongue. She watches as all the worst scenarios fills his head, circling and wreaking every last piece of self-restraint he had left.

"What have you done to her?!"

He roars, fighting to break from the chains, but only for it to cut through his flesh. The pain shooting through his veins didn't matter to him, all that mattered at the moment was to know if the brunette was okay.

"I killed her. Which is the same fate you'll be meeting soon"

And with those words said, she turns around and leaves him again in the darkness of the room.

Her words leaves him unable to function properly. He lies still with his head bowed towards the ground. A million thoughts running against one another inside his head. But the only thought that stood out was the one of her being dead.

And the amount of pain that slithered through his body, felt like venom ready to destroy everything and everyone in its wake.

"I'll rip your fucking heart out, Katana! "

It was a promise, the certainty and intensity behind his roar was proof enough of that.

This time he wasn't going to leave her behind for fire to engulf her. This time he was going to make sure that she was dead. And he was going to make sure she suffers before she dies. He was going to make her wish for a merciful death as burning alive.
