Her worst fear was becoming her reality. Just like she anticipated, her nightmares wouldn't leave, they visited her every night, getting more realistic and horrifying with each passing day.

She thought she could control it like she once did, but she was proven wrong. Anger was getting the best of her. Because when her past starts taking over, so does anger and the lust for blood. She lusted to hurt someone so bad, but the sane part that she still possessed was fighting hard to keep her in check.

And so she resorted to punching something, instead of someone.

It felt like a war inside her head, one that she could never win. She was so broken to the point where she just couldn't be fixed. And so her only therapy became pain, either inflicting it on someone else, or even sometimes herself.

Turning the burning ache in her chest into punches, each punch lands stronger than the one before on the punching bag. She woke up that morning from a nightmare and to an empty apartment. She wasn't sure where the guys were, but in her state of anger and insanity, she decided to punch her feelings into the heavy punching bag.

"What are you doing?"

He asks slowly on entering the room, his bedroom, which was where the punching bag was. Grabbing it, she stops it in place and heaves heavily. Her back still facing him as he enters the room.

"Where were you?" She answers the question with another, a talent she has developed over the years.

"You didn't answer my question..."

Nearing her, he was about to place a hand over her shoulder, turn her around to face him and see what was wrong, when she suddenly threw an enraged punch at the bag. All the pain inside her escaping in the form of a rattling cry.

"What are we doing, O'Brien? Like what are we really doing? We've been out of the facility, but so far, nothing. We're acting like we're normal, when we clearly aren't. So tell me what was it all really for?!"

Turning around quickly, she snaps out taking him by surprise. She finds herself standing chest to chest with him, only then realising just how close he was standing to her. Because it seemed that in her state of anger, she didn't realise how close he really was.

She was losing control, losing any shred of sanity left all over again.

"We're doing everything we can, Leo-" he said sternly, not liking to be talked to like that.

"Well, guess what? It's not enough!" She spats out.

"What do you suggest we do then?" He throws his hands up in exasperation.

"Anything! Something other than running around with miss strawberry shortcake" she says through gritted teeth.

"Leona..." he says threatengily.

"I'm losing my mind here, Dylan...I don't know what to do" she whispers as tears sting her eyes.

"Then stop thinking too much"

"I wish it was that simple" she whispers with a shake of her head.

"Nothing is ever as complicated as we make it out to be..."

They were both breathing heavily by now, his breath fanning down on her face as she looks up into his brown orbs. And the next thing she knows is everything around her spinning around. She was getting lost in his eyes and forgetting what exactly it was that angered her in the first place.
