"What is she doing here?" He narrows his brown orbs at the woman.

"I asked her to come-" Leona starts in defense of the woman.

"I'm only here to help. Because as far as I'm concerned, none of you knows what you're up against"

The blonde woman takes a step forward, her hair down to frame her face. Her blue eyes a striking feature along with her high cheekbones and sharp jawline. She oozed of confidence.

"Too bad we don't really need your help"

His glare on her was so intense, it left the air thick with tension. Taking a step to stand infront of him, the brunette cuts his view of the blonde woman.

"We need to talk. Now"

Walking past him, he huffs and after a moment, he finally turns to follow her away from the others. They both end up in the same room were he was injected with the ləekna.

"Are you out of your freaking mind?!" He snaps at her once inside the room.

"Like she said, we have no idea what or who we're up against. We don't know anything about that cure I injected you with and you're suffering the consequences. I'm not going to lose you, like it or not I'll stop at nothing to fix this!"

She snaps back at him, her gaze fierce, telling him just how determined she was. She wasn't backing down, no matter what he said. She knew he hated that woman standing just outside the room they were in, but she had no other choice. She was the only person she knew that could help them.

"So suck it up and let her help"

With that being said, she walks past him, but not without bumping in his shoulder to show her anger. Letting out a deep sigh, he tries to cool down before returning back outside. He knew she was stubborn, but he also knew that this wasn't something he was going to win arguing with her about. So he'd let her have her way just this one  time.

.

"What do you know about the cure?" Dylan asks with crossed arms and a glare.

"Your mother told me alot about it, she used to tell me about this idea both her and your father had. This creation that would save lives, it was created to cure the incurable, to take away people's pain. But I warned them that such a creation  could fall into the wrong hands and be used in a way they never intended for it to be used"

The woman starts with a small shake of her head, as if recalling a conversation she had with his parents where she warned them about it.

"Okay...so we now know that it's supposed to cure about anything, hence why it helped Dylan over here" James waves a hand in the brown eyed boy's direction before continuing.

"But then why is he having those side effects? Isn't it supposed to take away pain and not bring it?"

"In science, just like anything else, there's no hundred percent certainty. Raven and Gabriel knew that it wasn't complete, but they never had the chance to complete it with...them gone" she whispers the last part, hurt laced with her voice.

"So that explains the side effects, but what are they exactly?" Leona asks with furrowed eyebrows.

"Your parents weren't the only ones working on this cure...there was someone else helping them" she glances at the brown eyed boy before continuing.

"His name was Dale Davies, he had a... different vision than them. He wanted more than just a cure, he wanted power. So he secretly worked on a totally different version of the cure, he claimed it to be a much more improved version of it. But one day Raven found out and told Gabriel and then they shut him out and kept the cure with them..."
